NOOOOO. If Kate stops recapping this crap, I might have to start watching it again. Gizmodo is doing us a public service here!

“Oh God, my phoine is spooging...WHY IS MY PHONE SPOOGING?”
Oh God...dying here, dammit. DYING.
In fact, I’m intending to check out some of his other performances, including Neuromancer and I Am Legend.
The Power Broker: Robert Moses And The Fall Of New York by Robert A. Caro, narrated by Robertson Dean, who never tries to emulate author Caro’s New York accent, but does modulate his voice to catch the sound of Moses’ voice. The performance never renders the book the slightest bit dull or leaden, and in fact keeps…
IIRC, Cyclone going commando was pretty much an Alex Ross gift to the JSA series. Every time he painted a cover with her on it, it was pretty obvious she was enjoying the air down there. Which...kind of skeevy, considering she’s supposed to be sixteen or seventeen.
Not to mention a Graphic Audio adaptation.
Nu52 Earth 2 was actually destroyed — absorbed into Apokolips, and killing all but a couple of million refugees that got away on escape ships. Post-Convergence and as of EARTH 2: SOCIETY, they’re on a new planet in a binary star system (which renders the Kryptonians powers sporadic) and the story is pretty much how…
Certainly, if you narrow it to that point. The Republicans today are functionally the Know-Nothings of our time, and, unfortunately, it’s going to take time for their base to disintegrate sufficiently to kill the GOp and open the way for the next alternative (which might be equally as bad, or not.)
It sounds like a book I should read, so thank you for the suggestion. And, yes, that was the thing about Tammany Hall, and Moses himself can be seen in relation to Tammany — Moses himself couldn’t be bought, but his drive for power and control corrupted him deeply, to the detriment of New York even after his…
The swap actually happened in the 1960s, and it was the Southern states only, for the most part. The GOP in New York, for instance, was pretty much the same bunch of entitled crooks as we have today. The Democrats bunch of entitled crooks were in New York’s Tammany Hall...and still tended to support the working man.
Well, except for New York’s infamous Tammany Hall, which was the Democratic machine there and infamous for (among other things) throwing money down rabbitholes to no particularly good end, resulting in a massively bloated civil service with huge redundancies.
England’s full of tautologies like that. River Avon meaning River River, for one. And the thing with Torpenhow Hill, which means Hillhillhill Hill...although there’s been efforts at debunking this.
Nonsense, they named it because the camp cook dropped the breakfast waffles on the beach.
Rain, man. Purple Rain. With sporadic Prince gusts.
We have the SunGo card here in Tucson, which works on buses, the streetcar, Sun Shuttle, and Sun Van. You can load it with a monthly pass, or stored value, and there’s a variation for disabled riders.
There'll be a new half of Firestorm for Legends Of Tomorrow.
Did somebody mention a Bat-Truck? The Jim Gordon Bunny Ears Bat-Mecha has one for a ride.
You may well be, and it suggests you have a generosity of character that I couldn’t find no matter how hard I tried when I read that, which may be to do with the fact that Batman to that point in both DKR and DKSA has treated Carrie as a soldier in his war.
Thank you, Kate, for making sure I never have to watch this crapfest again. Your recaps are so much more entertaining...!
