The fight with Belias? Yeah that was utterly brutal.

I deny the existence of FFT advance.
There supposed to be a bird there? Lol. I was wondering why there were giant eggs
I think the Witcher is a good comparison here. There's still plenty of uninteractive stuff but there aren't nearly so many invisible walls or artificial restrictions on your actions.
It's good but it's definitely not Witcher 3 good. The side quests are just way too generic and the relationships are way too artificial to get the positive end of that comparison.
Hmm. Maybe I'll have to replay it. I remember being totally blindsided by the fact that the gods were real and behind the whole thing.
I definitely agree. It's villains actually have believable, understandable motivations. I think it the whole hidden true story framing narrative is mostly a mistake though. They either needed to do a whole lot more with it or cut it entirely because it's just in the way enough to be confusing without really adding…
It's been years since I've played VI, but IIRC it's got the most coherent plot of all of them.
IX is one of my favorites even though I've never actually finished it. It just kinda goes off the rails at the end.
Has the series ever left its roots? I'm struggling to think of one in which that statement isn't true.
Their training would mostly be wrong when facing modern* firearms, though. (And depending on what era of samurai we're talking about possibly hilariously, outrageously wrong.)
We're talking about robots, though, so the gun has to do enough damage to actually stop the other host. It may end up that being able to just hack off a limb is actually more effective than having to put 200 rounds into a guy just to incapacitate him.
Another homage: since MIB is confirmed as William, that means the last couple of episodes were Bill and Ted. On an adventure. Possibly an excellent one.
Sengoku World?
Those parents do say something like "is it safe here for [kid's name]?" "Yeah, this side of the river is okay for kids".
Also, they had more games worth buying.
It certainly doesn't help that the central conceit makes no sense. A group that is defined by the fact that it has access to highly advanced, crazy expensive medical technology which can literally give them super powers is horrifically oppressed? Why don't they just use the money and connections that got them…
Gaunter O'Dimm from the Witcher 3
Gotta say, in my view you are simply mistaken about the body language thing. It's subtle but omnipresent. I'd encourage you to check out extra credits video on the subject
And he tried to murder Triss and Geralt.
