I’ve been crying out for a small[er]-displacement ST bike like the one you’re describing for years. Triumph’s newest ride comes close but it’s still just a little too tall for my liking, and if there are no offroad excursions in the itinerary the extra suspension travel isn’t needed. Hell I’ve done some unplanned…
That 400x is the cutest thing. 100% would go for that. Desert roads or logging trails fit perfectly with it. You could probably find a thinner seat to adjust height, but I’d be wary of that minimizing comfort.
I’ve been looking at that new 400x a bunch because it’s gorgeous, it’s a little tall but something I’d probably get used to pretty fast. Rode an older CB500X over the weekend that was pretty decent - I just wish it had ABS.
One of the biggest things I’ve been slowly learning as I get older is that nothing I buy is going to make me more able to go adventuring than I already am.
I think big, heavy adventure bikes are lame. They’re too heavy and powerful on dirt compared to a street legal enduro bike and the 19-21 inch semi-off road-ish tires have poor traction on pavement compared to dedicated 17 inch pavement tires. They are comfortable and good for long distances, I’ll give them that. But a…
They made up for it due to the current gen XC90 not having ANY cupholders for the middle row
Those are amazing!
In the same vein, reminds me of the old Saab cupholders that would pop out then rotate.
If you ever get to Japan, go to a 7-11. The food will blow your mind. Actual edible Oginiri with the most clever packaging you will ever see. You crack the package open and all the layers are separated with plastic. The rice stays soft and the seaweed stays crisp.
Their 180kw DC fast chargers have been great too. the one by my house is the same cost per kWh as what I pay at home... I only have L1 at home, and last week my car was pretty low (my truck has been in the driveway with polycarbonate in the window because some asshole broke my window last month and i just havent…
LOL, I wish. I think mainstream Gunpla in US stores died with Target. It was fun when it lasted and when they started to slash prices I got some kits cheap but it was clear they were never going to catch on big.
yeah but i sure as shit do not trust american companies and employees to keep it as nice and clean as japanese employees even when they work for an american company. 711 over there aint the 711 were all used to. the one by my house is super sketch in the best of times. employees try n sneak cigars on your bill and…
Since when the hell is Maryland the “South”?
Around here it’s Methin’-Eleven. I would never set foot in one of those shitholes. They can load them up with all the Onigiri, Pocky and Pocari Sweat they want, but it won’t have the Japanese ethos or standards.
“Dude, am I too high or did the food here get weird?”
Just wait 7-11 Your tobacco sales will be replaced when the tobacco companies reach the point they can no longer be profitable with tobacco and pound the US government to legalize marijuana and they can just shift from growing tobacco to growing weed. They can even continue to use their current cigarette making…
For some inexplicable reason, they have some of the Japanese snacks like onigiri in Guadalajara’s 7-11s. I’ve not had the guts to try them the last couple of times I went. Their refrigeration practices are... ah... not the best.
Now sell Gunpla you cowards
Good luck with that in God’s Waiting Room, FL too. Maybe in Hipsterville.
