You just described every car, and every car enthusiast.

You are literally the whole market for this car.  There is no other reason for anyone else to want it

I had a friend as a child whose sister got one of the VWs in the mid 2000s that came with an electric guitar.

She gave it to him and by the time he was through high-school, they had become “the band” at school. Playing for pep rallies and whatnot, playing backyard shows.

It was pretty awesome that a promotional item

You’ve got wildly unrealistic expectations of dispatch and emergency infrastructure.

Nah, the 20v 1.8t is pretty stout and will last 200k+ if you use the right oil (wrong oil will sludge them) and don’t push too much boost through it. Massive CP either.

I didn’t say you didn’t get a good deal, I said you didn’t get a deal $12k better than the random schmuck off the street.

People making difference choices with how to spend their time and money aren’t always “lazy”, “pussies”, “getting screwed” or whatever other pejorative you feel the need to use to make yourself feel better.

People don’t want to feel like they’re getting screwed. It’s a useful fiction so people can buy the car and not think about it too much.

You are also describing real estate.

I feel so, so sorry for you.

This is the Nicest Price I’ve seen in a while.

For me some days it is about the poll as much as the car, and I am happy to say that it looks like a majority of people here recognize the early chrome bumper styling of the C3 Corvette, a big block, a four speed, and stock appearance are worth something.

I like my cars to treat me badly. Says the BMW 850 owner

1. Yes, it’s exactly when a car drastically loses value, and it’s weird. If you think about it for a minute, the 100-200k range is best because the major issues have been sorted out (or will never happen), and the big value drop happened before, but everyone insists on buying/renting new cars “because it’s cheaper” ¯\_

My ‘05 Impala has 642,000km and I’m planning on hitting 1,000,000 on it.

So my Subaru dealership experience isn’t unique? Yeah, the closest one to me, I wanted to grab their wrists and check for a pulse. I mean, low pressure is fine, but at least show a little enthusiasm for your product.

Mercedes sold a lot of ML models over the years despite the original truck looking a bit like an Oompa-Loompa from certain angles.

I’d be inclined to agree with you if this was rolling on basket weaves. IMHO, it just needs basket weaves to be ‘right’.

Congrats on being the only person ever to have a broken A/C system that just needed a refill
