This is the quintessential Home Depot truck - and judging by all of the materials strewn about the driveway & yard, that’s exactly what it was used for. I bet this person has an Instagram page with a few thousand followers and lots of stylish DIY project photos.

Eskimos have a shit-ton of words for all the different kinds of snow for a reason. I don’t lift my blades for any snow. Light and fluffy like often occurs in the far north? No need.

They, and most good modern cars, have a service position. Generally, when you turn the car off, you hold down the wiper stalk for a couple seconds, and the arms swing up to the “full-wipe” position. Then you can lift/change to your heart’s content.

Not sure if you’ve shopped lumber lately, but that could turn expensive quick! Even crappy 1/4" plywood project boards are running $10 a piece these days.

As a kid, I had a Matchbox Sterling in this exact color. Out of the hundreds of die-cast cars I had, this one was one of my favorite. I don’t even know why - I remember it having “active” suspension, which not all die-cast cars had. And I also just liked the way it looked.

Could you please keep these opinions to yourself for at least another 2-3 years? I should have garage space available by then to own a 996/986 Porsche, and I feel that the fried-egg sentiment is one opinion that is helping keep those prices at least semi-sane for the time being.

Never new about that split-open rear hatch. That’s really the only reason I read these NpNd articles is to learn interesting things about otherwise obscure cars (like wikipedia, but less rabbit-hole-esque).

Being handy around a car can definitely save money.

I bought myself a wonder-battery jumper pack for well under $100. It can jumpstart an suv at least 5 times on one charge (yes, I was driving around on a dying battery for a few months - blame the pandemic and not really having to go anywhere). Best part of it is that you don’t have to beg someone to borrow their car,

The interior looks about as nice as in a lot of Miatas at this price. NP!

I kinda get that keeping the wrap on has a chance of finding that special buyer who can appreciate it. But then there’s the other 99% of buyers out there - doesn’t it make sense just to remove the wrap so that you have a better/easier chance of selling the car? Isn’t the whole point of wraps vs painting the ability to

To be fair, I think lots of marques have their fair share of diehard fans. For example, pick up any copy of Roundel or Panorama - especially when they attempt to do a car comparison. Tesla just does the whole fanbro/boy (and yes, that is 100% masculine) thing a lot better.

The person who’s going to buy this thing is going to be a down-on-their-luck single/mom dad who’s just barely scraping by month-to-month and needs to get something to replace their last car that they could no longer afford to repair because walking the 12 miles to the grocery store along the busy highway shoulder

Let’s say that this is priced right for the mileage and the fact that it’s held together with duct-tape. (Yes, I could google this, but that means I’ll be seeing Hummer ads for the next couple months; and no, I don’t care enough to pop open porn mode to check).

V8 swaps into these cars are pretty straight forward (Paul Newman puffers ftw). That said, unless this was professionally done by a shop with lots of experience (Converse Engineering for example), this price does not equal the sum of all the parts.

I’m going NP. If this was all boxes checked, it would go for what, $20k? Instead, it’s no boxes checked - but let’s be realistic, 90% of people looking for that all boxes checked model would never do anything with the truck that would need any of those boxes. So with this, you get to pose all you want at 35% of the

Short answer, yes. It’s like they say about age (people-age) - it’s nothing but a state of mind.

I was ready to go ND for a pos gussied up Chevy Cavalier, but reading the article made me take a quick dive down a very short wikipedia rabbit hole on J-bodies. This thing is actually pretty neat! I never knew any of these pieces of shit had this motor option - turns out it was only available on this T-type, and as an

The turn of the century was a pretty weak-sauce era for entry-mid level hot-hatches. For example, the Mk4 GTI, the Civic Si, and the Celica. The RSX and the WRX were probably the only more capable ones from that era (wow - remember, when a WRX was the same price as a GTI, lol)
