Nah, the question is why do glorified administrators get to pocket billions of dollars on the backs of unpaid college athletes.
No one has tried to “continually diminish the value of the free education given for a voluntary activity”. That’s a strawman. The education does have value (putting aside the fact that some of the athletes in question don’t actually receive much of an education). No one has ever denied that.
I think the issue is more about health care (which was a big part of what Kain was fighting for) and the fact the student makes no money of their likeness/signature where the college or NCAA can (the Ed O’Bannon case). Which is unfair.

I think they’re talking about attack patterns. All enemies have one, and every enemy has a weak point after certain attacks. Once you figure it out then the biggest thing you’re fighting against is your patience. Resisting the “But his health is so slow! I could get in another hi- aw shit he killed me.”
Fallout doesn’t really pride itself on being realistic, I’d think the presence of ghouls and Supermutants would make that obvious.
