It’s not legal for FEDERAL tax dollars to go to abortions. Many states, Washington included, have taxpayer funded state health care for low income citizens that covers abortion procedures.
But when she asks the courts to estimate the damage done to her by the clinic’s mistake, she is putting her decisions up for scrutiny. She could have mitigated that damage by choosing to abort in the first trimester.

Except in health care there is a policy against that- because when people are afraid of messing up, they hide mistakes.
