Among A.V. Club commenters, maybe, but I’m not convinced that NFT stuff goes in one ear of the general public and out the other. They don’t understand it, don’t know why it’s bad, generally don’t get involved, and it doesn’t affect their opinions toward companies that do it.

I think it’s just...you

she could have been subjected to 74 lashes and two years prison time.”

It’s just so... labored. She’s taking two ideas that have no relationship to one another and just trying to awkwardly mash them together. The punchline is a total non-sequitur, it’s like one of those Family Guy cutaway gags. You could just as well say: ‘The Power of the Dog? More like the Power of Alec Baldwin’s Gun!’

To quote Almodóvar: The devil, in fact, doesn’t exist.

I can’t see the E-E comment you’re replying to, but let me add: a disability is a condition that generally requires accommodations and sometimes protections in law. Baldness is not included in that definition. It’s a condition, but definitely not a disability.

This is my (biased, of course) take- Jada is dealing with her condition by not hiding it. She takes ownership by shaving what’s there and confidently presenting her gorgeous face and beautifully-shaped bald head to the world: to me, that’s a look that says “I’m so beautiful I don’t need hair to be stunning.” And

Even Chris Rock knows better than letting the LAPD take away a black man

I think we should stop backbiting over AVClub criticism in the comments.

Please explain your feelings about the *magnificent* Knives Out.

You live in a shitty place

... in front of one’s friends, collegues, and a global audience of millions. It’s exactly the same thing!

The latest “who asked for this” remake is Spy Kids.

Of all the things I am sick of in this story, being told by other white people that white people shouldn’t speak on this is rocketing to the top.

Lots of women receive “performative” open-handed slaps for offending overly sensitive men, who could have punched them or knocked them out. There are degrees of violence, but slapping someone definitely counts. I’m glad there are laws against it and serious consequences for (some of) those who do it.

Or a single good person. Or anyone with a brain.

Such an original and exciting thought! Keep them takes coming!

This is such vague passive aggressiveness that I can’t even tell which part of what I said got under your skin. You either think Black women make this too much of a big deal or people with alopecia don’t matter in this conversation. Either way - weird thing to feel bothered about.

I just cannot get behind this casting. The only actor who should have ever played Michael Peterson: John C. McGinley

Website posting near-constant stream of articles about Will Smith slap gets on high horse when celebrity answered question when asked about Will Smith slap.
