When I was a kid, one of my neighbors was killed by an 18-wheeler wheel coming loose and bouncing through their windshield as they travelled in the opposite direction.
I was a big fan of Side Show Bob when he was down here in New Orleans, too.
What a great race. Hated seeing the Audi penalty with 9 minutes left, but it was still a very, very entertaining 6 hours.
I’ve been on a couple of pre-cast parking garage projects but never anything on a critical timeline. I will say, though, that it’s a little misleading to say that this is rapidly decreasing construction time. Yes, it’s decreasing the time in which the public is inconvenienced, but that massive pre-cast roadway panel…
I’m not saying the 919 doesn’t deserve it, but they were totally pedestrian in the rain. Did they have much rain this year? No. When they did, though, both Audi and friggin’ Toyota were right there with them.
I’m not a country fan, but “Drive” hit me in the feels both well before and after my father passed. I’ll always appreciate him for that song.
The Pelicans still haven’t recovered from being up 20 on the Warriors in the playoffs and losing the game. Their confidence wasn’t shattered, it was completely removed. The Warriors are just too good.

I don’t care about sounding or not sounding creepy. The OP mentioned “the selfish reason”. I copped to a selfish reason.
Sorry that I made half a dozen women feel skeeved out in 2007, but the end game was building my confidence in approaching women. Sorry that some guy said you were pretty before running out the door.
When I was a younger, shyer, drunker man, I used the compliment-and-walk method as a way to build confidence in talking to women. Was I awkward? Creepy? Probably. I don’t know, I never stuck around to see their reaction. All I know is that it helped build a sense of confidence that helped immensely later in life.

When I was 9, my dad bought my brother and I a racing kart. Problem was, we didn’t have a truck or trailer. So, my dad would borrow my grandfather’s El Camino, put the cart in the back, and I would ride between the two front seats to the track.
How does the back open? Is a swing gate? A tailgate?
