I'd watch this. That's downright hilarious.
Gawh I hated that thing. So damn ominous...
Meat-bags
Asking HK to define the concept of love is still one of the funniest things I’ve experienced in a game.
I totally agree. Brilliant writing. Story is amazing and actually makes you flex your brain muscles a bit. Awesome that you got to meet him. He really thinks out of the box.
Nintendo seems to be missing a lot of opportunities to make money. Even Squeenix who claims to take pride in every work has gone down the path of milking everything that people hold dear just to stay afloat. Nintendo needs to do the same :v

Seconded on all counts.
Timestamped the important quote where Sean Murray ... literally lies about the game? Shame. :(
Yeah, that part is stupid. He kept saying the chances of meeting another player were very slim. Why not just say “You can’t”?
Never heard of him and am Instantly interested. Thanks!
So zero you won’t even see each other lol
Commenting so I can come back to the recommendation. Thanks for offering it.
I would recommend everyone read his collection of short stories “Stories of Your Life and Others” they were all great. I especially loved ‘The Lifecycle of Software Objects’ it was published seperately. *You are so lucky to have met him I would have gotten my 1st edition hardcover signed.
“Seventy Two Letters” is one of my favorite stories of all time. http://www.tor.com/72ltrs.html
Why would I bother reading a book when I can just listen to the song?
I’ve never met Ted, but I’ve read most of his (far too few) stories. Ted Chiang is a goddamned genius.
Mr. Chiang, is that you?
