I am so glad to hear it is good! My wife and I have a date night scheduled to go see it next weekend.

I respectfully disagree both with your assessment of the show and what it aspires to be. Orville shares some obvious similarities with TNG, and some obvious differences. For example, the endings to some of the episodes are much darker than TNG ever allowed itself to be. For another, Orville tells stories based around…
Discovery has its virtues, but if you want the closest thing to TNG going right now you should check out The Orville. Again, I like both shows for different reasons, but Orville feels much more like Star Trek of yore to me.
Fully agree-her reactions to what was happening absolutely made that scene you are talking about.
I wish I could upvote this more than once. When instant replay started, I was really on-board with it. “Lets just get it right y’all!”
Season 5 was probably the weakest season of Justified (at least for me-but it was still pretty good!). But is had a couple of great episodes, including “The Kids Aren’t all Right”, which explores this dynamic in some detail. And it features another fantastic performance by Kaitlyn Dever.
1. I plan to see this-looks good!
Whatever your feelings about this issue, good law almost never comes from an attempt to score political points like this seems to be. Something like this should be thought over, with consultation from parents, the industry, and other interested parties. Instead we get “Think of the Children!” and a hastily written law…
Have you owned one? Because they require more work than many other dogs-which is what I was trying to say-but it is not some Herculean labor either. And the rewards far outweigh the problems-at least they did for me.
“What is this, a crossover episode?!”
It is the only episode of Futurama I turn off when it comes on. I just can’t go through that again y’all.
This is a great list, but Dogmeat needs to be on it. Helping his human through a wasteland hellscape makes him a VERY good boy. Boomer from Fallout 5 would be great too!
I am a long time Cavalier fan who watched Jordan over Ehlo and wailed in despair. I know what 76ers fans are feeling right now. It was not until the Cavs finally won it all in 2015 that I felt like I was over The Shot, an amazing play that derailed a great but now almost forgotten Cavs team.
I understand the issues surrounding gambling and minors, but I start to get nervous when the government starts to play the role of parent.
SPOILERS, obviously:
There is a lot of talk in these well written reviews (and thank you for them!) about how hard it is to build a story around Gene. I think Linda is the more problematic character. I really enjoy Linda as a side character adding some jokes and general ridiculousness. But in the few instances where I bounce off a BB…
Her response was also one of my favorite lines of the movie: “You will”
I was hoping someone would mention this! The end credits this week were the best part of a very good episode.
I did not see that. Good catch!
I still think that not finding some role for Ian McShane in Justified-even if only for an episode!-is one of the great missed opportunities of television.
