Spoilers for What Lies Beneath Follow for those who still want to see the two decade old film........

I agree. I think it is amazing that the show focuses on details like that, but the writing and acting still make it all so compelling.

OMG. If you have the time or inclination, you can hop over to the Daredevil reviews and see my multiple posts complaining about last season.

I have been an attorney for almost two decades, and as a result I mostly avoid shows with any consistent legal drama aspect. I am just sick of hearing about legal stuff by the time the day is over, and want my escapism in other forms. But I make a big exception for Better Call Saul. Partly because BB was so good,

I adore transformers, but the 1986 movie was not good IMO. The cartoons I loved were a transparent toy commercial, but the movie was even more blatant about it. The only purpose of the story was to kill off an old toy line so a new toy line could be born and sold-this was obvious to me, and I was ten when I saw it in

This story has me grinning. The initiative and kindness of this young man, government actively helping the community, a warm smile and some food that makes lives just a little bit better-everything is great!

You cannot go wrong with Prey or Pyre-I loved both of those games. But I think Pyre is the more focused experience. There is a good bit of exploring in Prey..........

Absolutely correct-I understand your very valid point. We do not need dogs to survive. There is a lot of things we keep around not because they are absolutely essential but because we benefit in some other way. I would argue that these benefits clearly remove those things from the realm of parasite.

I agree, and people can (and do) have very different opinions of whether having a dog is worthwhile. Just like cats, and gerbils and kids etc. But I think that is a different issue than broadly labeling a certain kind of pet a parasite. Some people want a dog and some don’t, but that difference of opinion does not

The premise of Mr. Reed’s article is dumb. Dogs give a lot and take a lot, just like every single thing/relationship a person invests time and energy in during their lives. That does not mean they are a parasite, obviously. Everything that relies on you for support of any kind can be a “parasite” under this

The WORST thing about getting older is when you ride all day to get to a castle looking for the Holy Grail, only for them to tell you that they already got one. Because what are you supposed to do then?

As a parent, I am looking for two things with these kind of movies-do my kids like them and are they not so horrible for me to sit through. Hotel is fine on both counts, so I look forward to a fun afternoon with the kids at this one.

Thanks so much for this (and the great interview/random roles as always)!

This has never been a popular gaming opinion (and there are a lot of better games out there) but I enjoyed my time with Rage. The story was inconsequential, the ending terrible and the entire last level forgettable. But....cutting off heads with razor boomerangs, dispatching ghouls with spider turrets and even some of

This is a great article, and it touches one of my concerns when we talk about “gaming addiction”-patholgizing normal behavior.

That does sound fun!

Very interesting. I was not aware of that.

Ditto on Adventure Time. I started watching it with my kids, and have remained hooked long after they lost interest. It is a GREAT show. Regular Show too.

I was just writing about this in another thread-I graduated from college, started law school and got married in 1999, so I was almost completely absent from pop culture for the entire year. As a result, I also saw the Matrix with absolutely no idea what it was going to be. My wife and I had been married just a few

Hero movies are my favorite, and I do not remember this one even coming out. But then I realize it came out in 1999, and it is no surprise. If I ever totally miss a piece of pop culture, you can bet it was either from 1999 (the year I got married and started law school) or 2004 (the year my first child was born). I am
