Thank you for the great review as always. For the reasons stated in the review, I thought this was a bad episode of Supergirl. Completely boring and unfocused outside of a few character moments. These middle of the season episodes often seem to stall on the Arrowverse shows-I hope for a rebound next week.

I am ashamed to admit that I am like this: “My other grandma used to half-believe the myth that microwaves were harmful. She’d heat up leftovers for my brother and me, but would warn us to stand a few feet back from the counter lest the rays nuke our brains or cause eyeball cancer.”

Good add. The national Republican party is completely broken. Look what almost happened in Alabama for goodness sake. Two healthy parties where people express and discuss ideas is fantastic for a democracy. As you well stated this-a deeply fractured and angry Republican party-is clearly not.

I agree with you and Cabbage Patch Mather, but I would take it a step further. It is not just that Trump is impacting the American psyche (though he is). It is that the man is actively undermining the institutions and independent arbiters of fact that hold a democracy together. Attacks on the press (while endorsing an

“Oh God...........”

Thanks-that worked like a charm!

Totally agree. I was done with Snyder Superman from that point forward. The Smallville scenes in that were just amazingly awful.

I almost stood up and cheered, because they incorporated that line into the most recent Arrowverse crossover!

I apologize, but I tried to upvote this and it took away votes instead. That has not happened to me before, and I am sorry.

1989 Batman is the film that made superhero movies one of my favorite types of movies to this day. But Superman I and II and Star Wars and Empire were the films that started me on the path to adoring movies in general. I was very young and thought all movies were boring until those movies got their claws into me and I

Thank you for this fantastic review-for me it accurately sums up what is worked in the episode and what doesn’t. Many beats felt off, but the restrained action sequence and monologue was fantastic. My favorite Felicity scene in a long time-just extremely well done.

The Arrow music cue when Stein is using the toy bow and arrow to snag the last Beebo may be the funniest moment in the entire Arrowverse so far. It is glorious timing.

I read about this story in Mr. Cranston’s very interesting autobiography, which I highly recommend. He has led a very eventful life, and it is a very good read.

It sounds like your daughter (and you) handled the Neverending Story much, much better than I did. I was not really scared of much in movies as a kid, but for some reason The Nothing really terrified me. I had nightmares for quite a while after I saw the film in the theater. Something about the existential dread of it

Ok, I have raised two kids through the twos (or at least tried not to screw up while my wife did a fantastic job), and I find the story Ms. Sanders is telling unlikely. I am also not inclined to believe someone who obviously and blatantly lies on behalf of the President every hour of the day. Exaggerating and

Me too! I have been a Cavs fan since the 80's because Mark Price was my favorite college basketball player growing up.

It is so funny to read this today, because there was some Saved by the Bell on this past weekend and I asked my pre-teen son to watch a few episodes with me. I watched and enjoyed the show regularly like a lot of my generation, and I wanted my son to see what was big when I was around his age.

“Not to beat a dead horse, but we could get a dead horse.”

I loved Pyre!

I am exactly this kind of gamer too. Witcher 3 is my favorite game of the generation so far, and I know the expansions are well received. I am still not going to play them. Like you, I have trouble getting back into the rhythm of a game once I have completed it. I tend to play the crap out of every game I like,
