We seem to have encountered a split in the genre. What should we name the sub-genres? Realistic spy movies vs Action spy movies? And where does Red Sparrow fall? (So awesome btw..)

Really? I’ve been looking hard at the Supra, M2, Cayman, C8, ZL1, Z06, those $40k 700hp supercharged Mustangs, GT-R, even AMG GT S, original Tesla roadster, i8, Model 3 Performance... I can’t even remember what else I’ve looked at. (Some of the above new, some used.) I can’t find something I like enough to trade my C7

Ana de Armas in a Bond film. Does cinema get any better?

I’ve been thinking those exact thoughts lately.

I sat in one of these and breathed in all the fancy upscale beauty for an hour... Then went and bought a used Stingray for much less. These are beautiful but after 2.5 years of ownership the C7 wins in my book.

I agree about those. However, the western influences seem a bit cheesy. And the neon colors of the outdoor environments seem garish to me. Scylla is much more to my liking than Monarch for a sci-fi setting.

I’ve really enjoyed all the comments in this thread and am replying generally here on various topics.

Do people actually watch things like this? She’s a very talented painter and the end result is awesome but I found myself fast forwarding through the short embedded clip out of boredom. How does 15 hours of this manage to engage viewers? Also, why is this controversial? Does the internet really need a ban on body

If I own two Corvettes, do I get $18K off? Asking for a friend.

That depends on what matters to you. Right now the C7 Z06 and C7 ZR1 are far more powerful than the C8, and there’s no aftermarket support for the C8. So I can drop a $6k supercharger on my Stingray and have a 600hp car tomorrow, or I can buy a Z06/ZR1 tomorrow, or I can buy a 490hp C8 and wait months for it to arrive

Aren’t Teslas expensive? Doesn’t it make sense to put chargers in places where their owners live? I'll bet that if Compton suddenly became a hotbed of Tesla ownership, superchargers would spontaneously appear.

Don’t forget the gas they used driving an extra 15 minutes round trip to get to Costco for gas, and the extra deposits inside their car's engine from using grocery store gas instead of better quality gas from the stations they drove past.

Nobody complained about the Acura RSX or Integra type R not having power. All Toyota has to do is put a decent inline 4 in it.  Jeez, they could even just buy K24s from Honda... The boxer engine in these cars is a lot worse than other similar displacement, similar power engines.

Totally agreed. I really don’t get the hate. I bought manuals exclusively for decades until age and Atlanta traffic changed my mind for me. I bought my first automatic sports car a few years ago and now I’m debating selling my other sports car because it’s a manual. I DD the automatic and drive the manual on weekends.

Somehow I never realized that used Tesla sports cars are a thing. It’s time to go car shopping!

Correct. I should probably quantify my rant by asking for a new EV sports car at a Corvette price. I'd love a Rimac but don't have that kind of cash.

Where’s the pure EV Corvette? I’m sure this is awesome in its way, but c’mon GM, can we just get to the future already?

Of course. Because if you multiply that $10/hr by all the buses in the area it gets expensive fast, especially as drivers demand higher pay over time. Plus insurance rates will decrease over time as AI gets better and its accident rates drop below human rates. Plus fuel savings (until electric buses are in place) and

I see things differently. People living in a remote location get opportunities for good jobs. Yes, there are all sorts of horrible human rights issues going on, but does that mean nobody there should be allowed to work? I don't think we should write off an entire region and refuse them the chance to join the global

Yesterday my Lyft driver told me that driving 50 hours a week covers the cost of his new Chevy Bolt + $20k in net annual income. You’re telling me that eliminating the driver doesn’t give the service an immediate $20k cost reduction? Ok, Maintenance costs are rolled into that 20k, so maybe a $15k cost reduction. Also,
