I seriously thought, “There’s a Tesla owner in JANESVILLE?”

I had a good experience buying a used WRX from a Kia dealer. They wouldn’t allow the car to leave to go to an outside mechanic, but they allowed the outside mechanic to use a service department bay+lift to inspect it.

They do seem shocked when you actually bounce, though, don’t they? I walked on a used car purchase after the dealership lied to me about battery replacement and working keys, even though I had the cashier’s check in my purse, and they scrambled after me to try to get me to come back. Too late — you tried to play games

I did the same before buying a food processor.  Shit, I did way too much before choosing the right leatherman or LED flashlight....holy shit when I need a new tool but don’t need it *now* it gets the same treatment.  I don’t just buy things off the shelf without knowing exactly what I’m getting and its value

“It was 1985. See we had just moved to a small town in California from a different small town in Connecticut. My bedroom in my new house was about 30 sq ft bigger than my old bedroom. The bathroom was 10 paces from my bedroom and the carpet was orange. This matters, believe me.”

Thats called karma for all those times he didnt use the turn signals.

😆 Saaaaame.

This story belongs to my dear friend, we’ll call her Dee. We grew up in in the same tri-city area, but didn’t meet until our 20’s. She became my very best friend- and has remained so for 15+ years, even when we moved to opposite ends of the country.

My 100% true story is pretty brief but still scares me over a year later...

Use your phone like a fucking adult.

My dad had a best friend for twenty years or so and every year they went deer hunting together at the same spot. About five years ago, my dad’s friend (we will call him Tim) was diagnosed with throat cancer. It was horrible and my dad visited him as much as he could, but he unfortunately passed away in August one year,

Long time lurker! Probably in the grays...

This isn’t really scary, but definitely creepy.

As a kid I went to summer camp every year in the mountains of western North Carolina, near Asheville and Pisgah National Forrest. Beginning at age 12, campers have the option of going on a three week outing in the wilderness, typically along the southern half of the Appalachian Trail, rather than living on the summer

There is a lot of physics in sailing. It will make your head spin. Another thing about sailboats is due to the “suction” on the sails, the boat wants to turn into the wind but we use the rudder to fight that, so the boat then leans to get into the wind, so we add a heavy keel below the water line to fight that so the

Based on the username, I’d say we should probably listen to this guy.

If none of these ideas pan out, as a last resort try tossing some metal shavings in the oil filter and show the owner. You might get a nice car for a steal, and there’s no boats or helicopters needed!

No offense but this is exactly what I’m talking about. I can’t even feign ignorance without someone telling me how to be
