Yes it is and like all good/bad time travel movies it contridicts itself during a key story point.

Odd in that it appears (to me) to be the motivational plot line.

Those Von Trapp children are pretty vicious, so it’s not surprising he turned bad.

I think I liked the film because it was funny and entertaining.

I wouldn’t say them dying (in the other films) is him killing them. Though I get his need to save folks. 

All the various rumours about Charlie being this didn’t tally with him working over here in UK at the same time. He was either doing some play or I think filming a different movie.
