The ending to the original Ocean’s 11 is one of the best ever. For a fairly okay crime comedy film that ending is tip top.

I think Richard Harris would have been better had he lived long enough to do more than two films.

Dick Van Dyke’s. He wanted someone else to shoulder British accent anger.

I got into Transformers thanks to Spider-Man’s appearance in comic book series. Transformers UK comic is the stuff of legend, expanding stories from the US run when we ran out of issues to reprint.

It’s such a tiny thing, but I’m disappointed we never got the scene where Sirius Black is standing over Ron looking for (unknown to us at the time) Scabbers aka Peter Pettigrew.

Check out The Bling Ring.

My main gripe against 12 is that it’s smug and we don’t really see the heist. “Oh by the way we did all that on the train. Also thank Arsenal football club for the distraction.” The least said about the very very stupid Julia Roberts double subplot the better.

Okay was way funnier than it had any right to be.

If he can still find time to do stuff like The Night Manager, I’m good with him following Ewan McGregor’s ‘one for them, one for me’ strategy.

I think the first film I remember him from was Armed and Dangerous, a slightly forgettable (but fun) John Candy/Eugene Levy film from the 80's. Of course he’s mainly gonna be remembered as Deebo to us black folks, but like this obit says he’s done a LOT of varied roles.

I like how Garfield’s Spidey was closer to the quippy comic book version. That said Maguire’s Peter Parker is better.

Good news, thanks for the info.

Yeah currently there’s no legal way for me to watch this in UK.

This was shown last Sunday night on BBC and I was pretty much engrossed in it, even though it was nowhere near as enjoyable as the previous week’s Lovers Rock. John Boyega (dodgy beard aside) is brilliant in this and deserves all the praise.

Some of us are old enough to remember him purely from his self-titled sketch, the Delbert Wilkins spin off, Chef! and serious stuff like Hope and Glory. As well as more recent stuff like Broadchurch and The Syndicate.

From my understanding of Sky’s deal with HBO, I don’t think it covers film releases. Therefore we wouldn’t get stuff like The Suicide Squad, Dune and Snyder Cut of Justice League on NowTV, even if cinemas close again.

MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!

Weirdly I’m kinda looking forward to it. Even though it has no right to exist.

Paddington 2 is ridicously good with Hugh sending himself up something rotten (the various career photos is a gem of a scene); Mr Brown forgetting to turn off the mic at the prison; Paddington’s hard stare at Knuckles; Mrs Brown’s heroics; Aunt Lucy and the most joyous closing credits scene in years.
