The writing in season 2 is way better than in season 1. Whoever was captain this year was going to do a better job than last because the storyline was way better.

I get that lots of folks prefer Sara as captain. I get that lots of folks felt Rip was pretty terrible. I get that the team generally worked better this season than last (though that's to do with better writing). I don't accept Rip just up and leaving HIS ship with a bunch of (improving) amateur time travellers.

Tbf not many people wanted them back, well certainly not Carter.

I'm gutted *ahem* that Eobard is dead again. I was hoping the one thing left at the end of the season would be a fully formed Reverse Flash.
