Him?

Didn't John say he was told that they passed on him for the role because he was 'too straight'.

Another film that hasn't opened Stateside (and barely had much of a release in UK) which I liked is The Pass. Despite showing its stage play origins, is a very good film.

Which is pretty sad if true. I wasn't expecting much apart from a decent modern day Western when I saw the film, instead I got a great round of performances from the four main characters (of which I thought Pine was the stand out).

Me too, he was the best thing in the film for me.

My top 10. List isn't necessarily in order, but close enough.

So glad Hell or High Water made this list, a great film with a great nomination worthy performance by Chris Pine (not sure if there is that buzz around the film).

I would have mansplained that much better than Chris Pratt.

Who hates on The Dark Knight? That's generally very well praised, even on here. Even The Dark Knight Rises isn't slated, though people do bring up issues around Bane and the Talia reveal.

Ghostbusters didn't deserve any of the negative online hate it received, especially as it was a half decent (if it wasn't as engaging as it could have been).

Kate McKinnon was the best thing in it, but the whole thing felt a bit flat. It confirmed my worst gripes about lazy Hollywood remakes and was annoying that it "proved the sexists right".

Nah, it was borderline offensive.

I quite liked Olympus Has Fallen, which I'd rate as a 3/5 film the year it came out (same for White House Down but different reasons).

So he was in the good one with Steed and the not so good one with Cathy Gale?

I agree with the No1 on this list, even though I knew it would be terrible I still chose to watch London Has Fallen. I can only blame myself for sitting through that.

I'm not sure there's been a Coolio cover…..yet.

That takes me back. Silly as there were I did enjoy buying them.

A forced awakening?

That sounds like a porno.

It was fine up until the glass break/Terry jump through.
