Fair point about the squirrels, it really does read well in the book. I do like Veruca's 'I Want It Now' song though, I wonder if there was a way to combine the two?
Generally I have no issues with Mr Depp's work, I just don't like his Willy Wonka or Mad Hatter performances.

Though he hated the final product Willy Wonky and the Chocolate Factory is a much better adaptation of his book than Tim Burton's version.
