I'm worried because I did that successfully with the first one (really wasn't expecting much) but I'm so completely stoked for the sequel I'm afraid I'll be let down.

If the weave was tight enough and of sufficiently strong fiber it could stop a bullet. It's just that with nothing behind it to disperse the energy, it's still going to penetrate. Only instead of just a bullet in your gut, you get a bullet and a bunch of your shirt. Makes removing the projectile easy, at least.

Did your ex-wife call you "sushi"?

Probably gonna want some padding behind that liner.

Really? I thought that was the part that elevated it above the usual action movie tripe.

Uelch. That didn't even produce a mental image. Just a mental… impression. And it's still enough to make me gag.

Huh. Who knew? (not me, apparently)

This is strangely topical…

I am not. But from my limited understanding of the subject, I believe it is our orbital rotation around the sun that keeps us from falling inward to a fiery death. Uranus has an axis that is basically parallel to its orbital plane* and it doesn't do anything wacky with its orbital rotation (that I know of).

I don't think it's our axial rotation that keeps us from falling into the sun.

Holy shit! That's why she got the job she has now!! It all makes sense! She's the perfect candidate.

I liked Rogue One. It certainly lacked character development and had a few too many instances of "We need to get to that thing over there, which is conveniently in an accessible spot that will be inconvenient to reach!!". But I felt the characters were interesting and for the first time I really felt menace from the

I was fine with limiting his screen time. But not to the extent that it happened. Wasn't there only about 15 minutes of screen time with Godzilla?

I saw that one.

Edwards Godzilla sucked. It just sucked. Boring characters doing dumb shit for dumb reasons. Internal logic break after internal logic break. And not enough goddamn Godzilla.

That's a good tune, though. It's by The Heavy. They've got a pretty solid catalog from what I've heard.

Sadly, I'm not that clever. It's a reference to the completely stupid but still amusing Will Ferrell movie "Blades of Glory".

I agree with your general assessment, but Ultron has that great scene of them all trying to pick up Thor's hammer. Off a glass coffee table no less. It's not much considering how long the movie is. But it's a great little bit of fun. Specifically when it budges for Cap and Thor looks truly worried.

I agree with Cerusee. Civil War was the "better" movie. But Deadpool was more fun.
