Mortal Kombat’s huge impact is far more likely to ignite some sort of emotional response from TV viewers than a fake game that is mentioned a couple times on a videogame they probably didn’t play.

After seeing the prints from the Photo Booth, I presumed it was thermal paper. It’s the stuff receipts are printed with. It’s not an ink or photographic process. No idea on the shelf life.

I will say — having not played the games, I was expecting this backstory to be muuuuuuuuch worse than what we saw. It was still rough, but really only out of a sense of angst knowing how it was going to end.

They weren’t from Mad God - Tippett Studio made original creatures for this episode and did the stop-motion at the end! In Johnson’s twitter thread about this episode he even said some of the close-up shots of the hands moving the creatures are Tippett instead of Nolte. So cool.

It’s not so much the filming of the projects. With a big production they can take their time, edit lots, make lots of takes. They probably could have hidden his condition for longer.

Big productions however require promotion. Talk shows. Interviews. Public appearances. None of which poor Bruce would have been remotely…

His Blade Runner performance is definitely what put him over the top. All these guys have good comedic timing from hamming it up during their wrestling days. Maybe it helps that Bautista has less faceman charisma than Johnson or Cena, but regardless he takes it to another level. His performances also don’t boil down…
