Whelp, they can be just as sorry in jail. Fine by me. Then let’s see them navigate the life of an ex-felon what with losing their right to vote, struggling to find a job, or a place to live.

I eat the sweet potato skins all the time. Just little butter and salt
It’s impressive too that Bettany and Olsen are playing characters inside of other characters with quirks that are clues to the overall mystery. Bettany drunk reminds me of a weird hybrid of Dudley Moore and David Bowie. We’re going to have to watch for Wanda’s original accent to slip in.
Episode 1 is heavily Dick Van Dyke Show, which was early 60s, but early 60s TV was still very culturally 50s, and it was also decent bit of I Love Lucy.
Now, episode 2 was pretty much entirely Bewitched, so there’s your post-Jackie late 60s.
“Bow before your Caribou Lord, peasants.”
Zack made a reference to S.P.H.I.N.X. in this review, only reminding us that among the things 2020 took from us was the Venture Bros, despite its season 8 already being in production :(
“Every time someone steps up and says who they are, the world becomes a better, more interesting place”.
Not nearly as bad as comments are dreading. Bonus points for Homelander sighting in first ep.

I’m not “alone”. Uh, spinsters, shut-ins, toll booth attendants — these are “alone” people. Batmanuel is “lone”— as in Lone Ranger, or, uh, lone wolf. “Alone” is an unfortunate predicament. "Lone" is an aesthetic choice.
Him saying “I am Bat..manuel” is all it takes for me.
I could never pick a favourite Batmanuel line, but the shortlist must also include:
Agent Happy Ending.
I’ve thought the season lost momentum towards the end, but the finale gave everyone a happy ending (Daisy even has a living boyfriend!) and really that’s all that I can ask for. You were a good show Agents of SHIELD, thanks.
The reaction to “mailer-daemon” had me in tears.
Rife’s fear conducting this interview is almost palpable. I think I was a little afraid reading it.
