Would Even Prefer Joffrey

I heart You’re Wrong About so hard, I even bought a t-shirt to support them. The Di episodes are the best. I’m currently listening to the O.J. ones while I wait for part four (to be released on Monday). While they’re also really good, they really outdid themselves with Di. (I also really liked the Jessica Simpson deep

You are talking about a Mexican-American woman who LITERALLY has #chingatumuro on her instagram description but OK

I love that she thinks the proper channels actually have the time, resources, or even sometimes the fucks to give about some homeless dude abusing his dog. A drunk guy stumbled into my apartment one night and took a piss in my bathroom and left. I called the police and they were like, “Oh, did he leave? K, just lock

Animal control treats dogs about the same as cops treat black people. Disabled dogs (or in this case, dogs brutalized to the point of invalidity), even more so. She would have either been dumped back with the abuser to avoid any paperwork, or euthanized without a second thought. They. Do. Not. Give. A. Shit. About.

Your mother 100% did the right thing. We have already established that the government is corrupt. We’re gonna, what, wait for the same cops that slaughter innocent black people to help save a houseless dog? Bullshit. That creep would have taken the dog and disappeared and she would have died an agonizing, lonely

When my mom was in her 20s she stole a puppy in the dead of night from a man she knew was running a dog fighting ring. I don’t think what she did was morally wrong. Illegal? Sure. But she saved that dog’s life.

I appreciate a civil back and forth, so thanks for the thought-out response. In this case as yet another commenter says down below, the woman says she was not even served, and did not know she had to show up in court. I didn’t think today would be the day I’d be sympathetic with the people stealing a dog, but given

Have you ever tried going through these “proper channels” you have so much faith in? As someone else in the comments below said:
“Well just saying, the proper channels would land this guy in jail at best. At worse the animal still suffers because no one cares about the homeless, much less their pets. I guess somewhere

Nah, peak white woman bullshit is feeling so much pity and white/elite guilt that you brand all unhoused people as saints instead of looking at them as unique individuals. This is not a good man. Period. Housed or unhoused. This dog has been horrifically mutilated. Period. She has been living an excrutiating nightmare

I see you’re choosing to focus on the “peak white woman” part, instead of the information presented about how this dog was in a pitiable state and was at best extremely neglected, and at worst abused, possibly sexually.

Having a companion animal isn’t a basic human right. If you are unable to properly care for the animal then you shouldn’t be allowed to have one, period.

you don’t have to dig too deep to see she is of Mexican descent and that the animal was being severely abused.

Well just saying, the proper channels would land this guy in jail at best. At worse the animal still suffers because no one cares about the homeless, much less their pets. I guess somewhere in the middle the dog ends up at the pound euthanized and the man still has no dog, but doesn’t go to jail. Him having his dog

To quote another commenter:

She is of Mexican descent.

I find it extremely messed up that this article focuses on how the dog provided emotional support this homeless man, with zero regard to the pain and suffering of the animal itself... If one of my animals is ever living in this condition i hope to god someone would take it away from me.

There’s no defending any piece of what this woman did. However, asking questions about whether animals are receiving adequate care on the streets is not “concern trolling,” especially in the context of the sweeping generalizations made in this press release. They’ve gone beyond the scope of the situation at hand and cl

Honestly y’all this is a really bad take. It seems like she definitely could have done more due diligence about the appropriate chain of command that should be followed before accepting an animal into her rescue. But that dog *couldn’t walk*. She was severely malnourished, covered in excrement, and had a badly

If you go to her rescue page, you can see that the dog was clearly abused. The rescue owner picked up the dog after it was surrendered at the vet. She has said she has no problem with pets living with houseless people, and plenty of houseless people take good care of their pets. This dog was in an extreme state of

assuming that the influencer is telling the truth about the dog’s condition (which is at least somewhat supported by the dog needing a wheelchair)... i wonder how much this differs from saving an abused/neglected animal from a nearby yard? the headline makes it sound like she just wanted a dog she saw and took it for
