Why? You can be an active and involved coparent without having to be in a relationship with someone you no longer wish to be with. His only obligation is to their child, not the ex-gf.

Growing up with a deaf mother, we always had the closed captioning on while watching tv. I have no doubt that it helped with my reading skills and comprehension. It also helped me learn to speed-read.
