He has the high ground.

Mentioned streaming platforms above, but I guess a) I’m just getting old and b) the crime genre doesn’t have the pop culture prominence it once did. Fwiw, one of those kids had seen Wolf of Wall Street many times, so maybe I can walk him backward.

It’s on cable frequently and, more importantly for people of their generation, prominently featured on streaming platforms when available. Also, one of these people had at least seen Godfather, which is 20 years or so before Goodfellas, so I’m just suggesting it’s a well-known movie.

I just learned the two 23-year-olds I work with have never seen Goodfellas. I don’t even know how that’s possible.

Theology/Civilization makes me want to run in the middle of nowhere so damn bad.

lol I hear you on the November birthday. Mine is 11/11! Oh well, guess it’s free dessert at Denny’s instead for me...

I’d stake some cash on it. Bigger picture, it’s interesting to see more and more tentpoles moving away from the fall window lately and into that February/Spring period. See some of the big PS releases this year, Horizon most notably. All for the best if it means less buggy games (and we know Bethesda has had those

I’d agree with this for the most part, but it runs the risk of treading some familiar ground -- Kate courtship, Randall political campaign. But with the right focus, it works. Kate getting over a divorce, Randall balancing the campaign with probably being an absent father while his daughters go through big-time

His bit on rights, or our lack of them, springs to mind.

“I get to shoot minorities AND a paid vacation?!”

The Lazy Susan bit gets me every time.

It’s amazing he’s stayed in that family as long as he has. That doll must really grease the wheels.

Aren’t there a fair amount of police cars that wreck/are blown up during the Batmobile chase in Begins, too? I recognize he’s not intentionally trying to kill there, but my mind always tends to drift to, “These are pretty violent wreck. Someone is probably at least going to be paralyzed.”

I’d have appreciated a shotgun blast that launched her out the window.

Yea, it was such a jolting open I’m surprised people are forgetting it. I’m guessing a person or two will survive it, likely the kids, although it’s probably be a little more appropriate (although extremely dark) if it was just Marty.

“I’ve made a huge mistake.”

My god, long covid hit Tom Hanks pretty hard.

Mauve is awfully flashy for level 12. Let’s go with another shade of gray.

BJ showing up completely oblivious to having a ninja star in the head got the biggest belly laugh out of me than anything in any media in a long time. His character has potential to be annoying, but he’s taken a real step up this season.

This sounds great. To confirm, you got three years worth of XBL at a discounted price, then bought the month of Ultimate and it converted everything?
