It's not a good joke. I think it's far too crude at the least. I'm not comfortable with the joke. But gayness or gay people are not the butt of the joke.

I think this is great to hear. Too many people think catchy-ness (catchiness? catchability?) is the end-all be-all of songs, like it's the only thing needed to make great music. It is not. A bad song that is not catchy is better than one that is.
