NO THERE THERE

No, I meant extensively. In other words they’ve been plumbing the depths of bad faith.

Bingo!

The right has been arguing in bad faith extensively for so long at this point that they are incapable of accepting reality. You can literally lead them to a conclusion with logic and facts and they won’t accept it when it’s staring them right in the face. They argue backwards from the conclusions they want, by

I agree. We should be calling them out for the fascists they are, and pointing out every single way that they fit the description (on loop). Every thing that dipshit said in that interview was straight out of the fascist playbook.

Notice how he used the term “Nazi” rather than “fascist”? That was entirely intentional. He knows he and trump and gang are a bunch of fascists. That’s what Omar called trump, specifically. But they use “Nazi” so they can call it ridiculous on a technicality - the whole “Nazis were only in a specific time period in

Seems like in order to be called racist these days, you need to have a written statement saying that you are racist, signed and witnessed by 5 people, notarized, with letters from 2 organizations identified by the FBI as hate groups (and not just identified as “white-nationalist” or “white-identitarian”) confirming

The only thing Tebow was okay at was rushing, which as a QB gets you nothing if you can’t complete any passes, because the defense just plays against the run and you end up with no (or negative) yards.

Claiming those opposed to fascism are as bad as fascists is a tactic as old as fascism itself (it was used by the original Nazis, for example). It’s part of the playbook.

Others had already pointed that out.

Talk about a gish-gallop... A gish-galeet? Whatever. This, though:

Right? There’s gonna be a rave in every major city.

Probably not a physical slap, but a rhetorical slap, surely.

I can hear the worthless tut-tut-ing of the Democratic “leadership” already...

I always find it astonishing that so many people continue to believe that we live in a free country.

Your gif reminded me of a great scene from Orphan Black, and now I’m smiling for the first time in days.

:(

Goddamn, I should just get into writing.

You didn’t specify, which is why I responded. The Sprawl trilogy is great - even if dated - and a must read for anyone interested in cyberpunk, imho. I enjoyed Snow Crash, but The Diamond Age is much better. Can’t say I’m familiar with Banks, unfortunately.

Correction: Neuromancer is dated. Gibson’s recent work is more present day.
