I had plenty of problems with this movie, but the biggest was probably that the new secondary heroes just made everything worse. Poe starts the plot by disobeying orders. I don’t know man. I know the sheriff and the townspeople were supposed to be the bad guys, but the only people who caused any bad stuff to happen were the Legends. The first guy died because Astra was trying to steal his gold and pissed him off, the sheriff died because Sara challenged him to a gunfight. 

I think it is impossible to separate Eastwood’s later career from his Republican National Convention speech. Before that, everyone knew Eastwood was a Republican, maybe even a Conservative, but he seemed like a Hollywood Conservative: low taxes, national defense, and relatively socially liberal. It looks to me like Conan had sort of planned this, but I don’t think he told Rogan. He is the one that drives the conversation toward weed and then keeps pushing. I think he figured in advance, “If Rogan has a joint, I’ll smoke it,” but didn’t tell Rogan.

I will be curious about her role in the David O Russell film, whether he has her play a part appropriate for a significantly older women, like he's done with Jennifer Lawrence. Could suggest something problematic we should be keeping an eye on.

Too many people erase Gretchen Corbett as Beth Davenport from the Rockford Files. She was in as many episodes as Angel, and was a legit love interest for Rockford for several years, even if neither were exclusive.

We really do need a Hulk movie set during the blip that explains how Banner created Smart Hulk and why his relationship with Natasha failed. (The reason in my mind now would hardly be PG-13)

When I saw on my HBOMax that Jean Smart had a comedy, I was shocked to see AVClub didn’t cover it, not even a pre-air write-up.

Something that just doesn’t sit right with me is the idea that Steve Rogers would leave Sharon Carter out in the cold for five years.

The film was famous in my family for how much we all hated it. I haven’t seen it since (obviously) but it was always the thing we brought up when a movie was incredibly boring and full of terrible people.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one.

With all the digital de-aging stuff going on, I am wondering who will be the first to do a biopic using an old actor and de-aging them for the young parts, rather than hiring a young actor and using make-up to age them. 

I watched it again tonight because of this review. I saw it a couple of times and always liked it until it turned into a monster movie, but I finally figured out what bothers me.

The people in the Abyss are oil-rig workers. It is an underwater oil rig!
