I refused to have a debit card for 10 years because of that scene. (Ok I was young and I didn’t think about the bank just locking off my money access regardless.)

Are any of these the gifs you’re looking for?

Bernie pulled the party platform significantly to the left. This was a big accomplishment, and something that means a lot to those of us that support a social-democrat platform over a traditional machine democrat platform. He was tactful and well-spoken tonight, carefully aligning his campaign goals with the new party

Ugh, that scene was awful on so many levels. First, it’s not the same cashier (the lady who always rang her up is replaced by a man she’s never seen before). Then as she gets more and more frustrated, he jus starts being such a smug prick (of course he knows why her card won’t work, but he’s not going to tell her

There were a few times when you could see her take a breath to compose herself - she’s a magnificent speaker and you could really see the gravity of her mission and now passionately she believes in it.

DNC shenanigans aside, the difference in tone between the two conventions has never been clearer. Look at Michelle’s speech - full of hope and positivity, compared to... well, anyone’s speech at the RNC, full of fear, hate, ignorance, lies, and violence. Sigh.

She and Elizabeth were both amazing. I had butterflies and heart eyes and all the hope when they were done speaking. These women are true champions of the people.

I love her, but I’m still going to make fun of healthy food.

On a related note? Please seine there is a gif of Bills reaction? I can’t find one and I NEED it!

Man, if that were to happen now, I would be so screwed. I’m single as fuck, and my family (Mom (also single) and brother) are 500 miles away.

Michele Obama wins everything. I’m so excited to see what she will do next!!!

Was it just me, or did she look/sound a little emotional when she said the line about her daughters being able to take for granted that a woman could be president? I don’t know why, but I wasn’t expecting that from her. Not because I don’t think Michelle would care about big milestones in women’s achievement, but just

Why are you asking a question you know the answer to? This is peak white maleness.

Not just you.

love it. she must have been quite fed up, trying to talk over the loudest people in the room. remember folks, 300 people shouting is louder than 3000 people being quiet. Bernie/third party voters are out-numbered, and they’re screaming awful loud.

And how her boyfriend just brushes it all off. Since, obviously, he’s there to take care of her. Eerily similar to how I see men reacting, or more accurately, not reacting to women’s rights being stripped away these days.

Such a great book. Really looking forward to this. One touch I found particularly ominous was the scene in the book where Offred goes to the minimart for a pack of cigarettes, and discovers that she can no longer use her debit card, because they have been cut off for all females overnight. The scene was completely

Tim Kaine: good for America, terrible for my Daddy issues :(
