Came here to post this but my nomination for directing a Good Omens film would be Edgar Wright, the man who gave us Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, for which I am eternally grateful.

I always think of John Milton when I think of Aliens, because I had an English professor who would run a clip of Ripley meeting the Queen to illustrate the characters of Sin and Death.

Hahaha, that was actually pretty funny xD

Let’s put Xenomorph back in Xmas!

I think it was a fantastic job by the responsible people to prevent mass panic. They had no idea what was waiting outside until the police secured the area, and they had to get a huge amount of people out of the stadium without causing any panic. To wait until the game was over and then to open up the gates to the

They didn’t know they weren’t protected.

Finally the showdown between Knives and Spike in Gundams that my fan fic has predicted.

I don’t know about you but I’m absolutely fine with anyone reading a book at any political rally.

Those are the Radominals.

That should not be your responsibility, that’s fucked up.

Over the summer my program’s policy was that we had to change gloves between every kid when applying sunscreen. Getting 30-50 kids sunscreened, twice per day, while switching gloves, while your hands get increasingly slimy and sweaty, was an absolute treat.

I got into it with a 8th grade English teacher when she asked for my interpretation of the ending in The Giver and then marked it wrong. It’s an interpretation, you plebeian. What an asshole.

As far as I can recall, I got no explanation.

I kind of interpreted it as the exercise was to see how you interpreted the character in 3 words rather than the metaphysical question as to why the words existed in the first place. I doubt there would have been wrong words. But as a kid who hated trying to find the “hidden meaning” of stuff in English classes I

Not a good teacher. A good teacher is thrilled when you know more. It’s the poor ones who are threatened by knowledge.

I remember something similar happening to me in 8th grade. We were reading Lord of the Flies. Part of our reading assignment was to look for imagery and themes. I came up with one that no one else had noticed: there’s a scene where Simon (? I believe that’s the protagonist) is watching the tide come in, slowly

I remember some teachers telling me I must be a wise-ass for asking questions regarding my critical thinking. I also had teachers who complimented me on it.
