They love the NFL teams from whatever city they actually grew up in.

Fuck off McAdoo. Definite bullshit to put this on Manning. The receivers were dropping balls, the o-line was offering little to no protection, and the rushing game was shit. That’s an awful combination for any quarterback to overcome.

“Division-leading, undefeated Detroit Lions!”

They still exist, but they’re definitely the minority these days. Folks like Arthur Blank and the Rooneys.

It was defined a prestige thing, to be sure.

Well, the NFL and the Spanos family will continue to get kicked in the balls for five years, at which point they’ll wave the white flag and the team will be sold, ideally to an internet billionaire who’ll move the team back to San Diego where it belongs.

Aaaahhhh... The sweet, comforting embrace of schadenfreude on a Monday morning, to start off the week on a high note...

Spanos won’t give a shit about the small crowds and that soccer stadium selling out only when the Chargers play the Raiders. He is still fuming that the taxpayers in SD County refused to build a billionaire a new stadium that he could collect all revenue from while putting in no money of his own into the project. The

At least the Home Depot Center is much nicer venue to attend games than the Coliseum. But the Rams had the old Rams fans that are now welcoming them back. There were few enough Chargers fans in the LA area, so no one has incentive to pick them up. And SD fans have (rightfully) disowned them.

Elliott should’ve learned his lesson. A true football player doesn’t stand in the middle of the field. He should stand alone on the sideline with his helmet and a darkened visor covering his face while his team gets whooped

LT quit on his team in a playoff game against the Patriots

For those of us in SD, I’m actually surprised at how fast we’re getting (have gotten?) over the Chargers and the NFL. Turns out life post-football ain’t all that bad! I’m guessing history will point to this period as the beginning of the end for the NFL’s popularity, combined of course with CTE, wife beatings and

This is what you get, Dean.

Agreed. Best tackle of a Bronco player all game.

Last season, during any Chargers telecast that I watched, on any network it happened to be on, the announcers would by the by meander over to the Chargers stadium issue, how the ballot initiative was coming up and wouldn’t it be great to keep the Chargers in San Diego, because goshdarnit they needed a new one, and

San Diego did okay with their Spanos dealings.

Yeah, no one in LA cares about the Rams (and lol at the Chargers ever catching on). Raiders was the move, but shadow-commish Jerry Jones liked Kroenke’s stadium/entertainment complex concept better, so instead of LA getting a team it might give half a shit about, it gets two teams it will fully ignore.

Just because they’re morons doesn’t mean they’re not stuck up.

Alex Spanos & family essentially ruined anything and everything related to professional football in San Diego. Never had any kind a winning spirit, always the whiney fuckers that didn’t really ever know how to actually win ‘the big one’. The family of chokers.

Or, or, the Spanos family is a bunch of broke-ass dirtbags who implored the citizenry of San Diego for loyalty but never ever showed the same to anyone, unless it was their crooked team doctor, who must have been a good source of scripts for them, that they hung on to him for so many years after he was shown to be a
