We do deserve one. We just don’t deserve to pay for it.
We do deserve one. We just don’t deserve to pay for it.
The will for publicly financing a stadium was even lower in St. Louis than it is in Las Vegas. And unlike Vegas, there's actually a provision that voters get a say. So nope, not happening.
St Louis Jaguars is my guess.
HOT TAKE ALERT:
This is all part of a plan to submarine the upcoming vote in November on a new stadium in San Diego. They’re trying (and succeeding) at making everyone in the city hate them even more so there’s less resistance when they abandon us next year.
Well, they’ll already have a stadium.
I wouldn’t say they are football illiterate. They’ve learned a lot in the three years they have rooted for the Seahawks.
So am I, because a guy from Boston
rooting for the Steelersis automatically an asshole in my book.
How fucking amazing would that be?
It sure seems that NFL stadiums are going the way of the Olympics. NIMBY, go find another sucker.
That’s okay, Dr. Jerry Jones is going to pronounce him fine in a day or so, so he’ll be good to go.
All i know is that when I was in Vegas for my friends bachelor party in April, all i was thinking was “Man this town is really fucking boring. I wish they had shitty professional football here”.
Me too- means you can get away with anything. Reminds me of the time I called my mom to tell her I was gay and she spent the whole call- after acknowledging my truth- ranting about my younger sister’s boyfriend issues.
My thought ... they’re deliberately sabotaging themselves so they’ll lose the election measure for the new stadium, making it easier for them to leave next year. Probably not to L.A., but St. Louis has a vacancy, and San Antonio wants a team ...
I’m just over here in my flannel and Doc Martens humming Heart Shaped Box.
I liked it better when you guys were in like middle school and there was a rush to proclaim how you were going to save the world. Heady days, y’all. Heady days.
X, the Switzerland of generations.
Mmm. Intergenerational conflict. Bring on the Boomers to shake their walkers and the other Millenials to make fun of them with Snapchat filters. As a dedicated Xer, I shall dutifully express my aloofness by rolling my eyes at all of you.
You would think Charger fans of all people would identify with Bosa for feeling screwed by ownership. If you are an SD fan and you side with ownership over anything, you are officially too dumb to have an opinion.
Typical Chargers move - have someone at the UT literally type out the words sent over from Spanos’ office. If you look closely, you can see Spanos’ lips move when Kevin Acee talks, he’s got his hand so far up his ass.
This from the team still trying to show its fans in San Diego that they should pony up a fortune to keep the team in town with a new stadium. Way to go, guys- what’s next, kicking puppies?
