This strategy worked well on one of our summer drives from San Diego to Billings, Montana. Wifey wanted to go through Las Vegas at night as it was averaging 115 degrees during the day. So we left at 9pm and I got us to Nephi, Utah and a well-earned “moons-over-my-hammy” sandwich at Denny’s by sunup the next morning.…
