Oh ok I can dig that:)

It’s been a long time since I read John and then Spiders and so there is a natural blurring (also with other books. Rick Gualtieri, Scott Sigler, Drew Stepek, Charlie Human, Edward Ashton, Tony Tulathimutte. Even Ernest Cline) but I liked how there were jumps between reality and the story, I liked the splatterpunk

So if she’s disliked simply because she’s a woman, then how can you have any honest discussion about the numerous reasons she shouldn’t be President? At the end of the day, you can dismiss all arguments as “Well of course they’d say that, she’s a woman”. It can’t possibly be because of her handling of this email

Is that like what Hillary is accused of?

Now playing

Idon’t have a problem with her doing her job. What bugs me is that she straight-up gets the giggles while describing how she got the rapist off the hook. Also, she didn’t have to take the case, she did it as a favor for a pal.

I gotta say, you are destroying the author from the perspective of logic/substance/applied knowledge.

Ummm. No. And it’s not why they’re being punished. Any service member doing a political statement inuniform is investigated. Full stop.

Yes. In uniform you do not have speech rights as you are a representative of the government and that would be an implied endorsement of a political statement by the government.

“your white-boy feelings” Good racism there. btw way I’m black/hispanic. but stay socially racist there.

Any political statement while in uniform is against their rules. I think it is a silly regulation, but I’m not in the military. Holding up a fist is a traditional Black Power symbol—-and that falls under ‘making a political statement while in uniform’ Even if they were holding up “I’m with her” signs, or ‘we need

oh wow! btw before you get all “holier-than-thou” I am black/hispanic. But code is code. period.

no, and you know better. Code of conduct is clear, it is even written above in the article. They broke code. period.

Burk is correct in one way, at least—these cadets are breaking the rules. In the Department of Defense Directive 1344.10, it says active members of the armed forces “should not engage in partisan political activity” and that nonactive members “should avoid inferences that their political activities imply or appear to

This is making a political statement in uniform. It is NOT ok.

They broke the rules they should have known better. As a former soldier I cannot support them. If they where white male soldiers using a Nazi style salute this very website would scream and demand they face punishment.

I would disagree. Lived there for almost 10 years and got 2 “reckless driving” tickets (automatic 25 mph over limit - 76 in 55). Straight and clear roads. Yes I was a squid but drove a 76 Maibu in the late 80's....not exactly a hoon. In general VA Cops and the driving laws are in fact DRACONIAN.
