Heh, that didn't stop us from doing it with Dead Space 2.

If you're going to get someone into video games, make sure it doesn't use two sticks, especially if one of those sticks is to control the view (or camera in third person games), I've had people try and they get frustrated at me because they have to constantly stop moving their character (or whatever they're doing) in

I actually told my friends just a few days ago when we were playing Portal 2 taking turns in the SP campaign that I felt the game was actually insulting my intelligence.

What's weird is that I didn't mind FFXIII's linearity (I almost stopped playing completely when the world opened up), but I felt disappointed in Dead Space 2's lack of map and being funneled on a single path.

Semi-off topic: Does anyone know why in the more recent Zeldas, are there both normal and pointy-eared people? Most importantly, why does no one in the game seem to be aware of this? I thought everyone in Hyrule had pointy ears.

That is why they have the religious disclaimer at the beginning. The people who made the game all come from different religious backgrounds. They're making a work of fiction, no need to get all defensive.

I know, I just wanted to be an smart ass when I could've just said: "You meant HDD, not HD".

Anyone who claims "doesn't care about HD in consoles" is because they're still gaming on SD televisions.

All I have on my PS3 are single player games anyway, except for Wipeout HD but it's been too long since I played that online so I'm not really missing PSN that much except for showing off to my friends list what am I currently playing.

I beat and fully 100% those games as a child, one each weekend. Now I can barely get halfway through them.

Well certainly that makes it closer in price to the 1200 points Xbox Live Arcade prequel, but still not enough for me at least. I'll wait until it's $15 or less.

Old School NFS YES! Why hasn't EA Thought about this? Port the PC versions of NFS2: SE, NFS3, NFS:HS and NFS: Porsche Unleashed as downloadable games with additional features.

Portal Wombat Mold!!

Phantasy Star Online. Episode 2's Jungle/Seaside/Mountain area had me kill every enemy then stay there for a few minutes, evokes a feeling of peace and solitude that only Final Fantasy XIII has managed to recapture.

Megaman games? Seriously? I completely understand the other games you mentioned (especially Shinobi, I was literally stuck on that boss for hours, it got so late I had to turn it off and go to sleep, only to never touch that game again.), but Megaman games are what I consider "normal difficulty" games, X5 and X6

A "skip this section" button would only bring us to disastrous results. Suppose I get to chapter 4 on Dead Space and couldn't get any further on even the easiest setting, so I skip to chapter 5 but what happens then? It's even harder than the last! skipskipskipskipskipskipending....

Really? outdated? Twilight Princess practically lifts the gameplay from OoT and nobody called that outdated. (Gonna have to partially agree with you though, when I first saw TP's first images, I somewhat expected it to have an overhauled combat system similar to The Sands of Time.)

Buy the GC version of Twilight Princess. Yes, no widescreen but the world isn't mirrored because of Link's universe-bending left hand shenanigans.

I want to be reeled in! Microsoft does it with their Xbox Live free weekends, Sony should do the same.

Aaah, Project Reality. That name brings me memories. Not of Battlefield 2, but of the Nintendo 64's codename.
