I actually enjoyed both of those movies. Compared to King of Fighters or Dead or Alive they're masterpieces. Oh I just remembered Uwe boll exists, one thing is for certain: No matter where the games are from, Uwe boll will make the movie suck.

Easy formula to understand game movies: Is it an American movie based on a Japanese game? It is probably going to suck. Is it an American movie based on an American game? It's probably going to be allright.

I always thought of Visual Novels as, err... novels. Thinking of VN as "games" is actually making them a disservice in my opinion. but eh, that's just me.
