@beanspeppin: It's a game trying to depict a realistic rendition of the Japanese crime underworld, it's kinda obvious they would go for the realistic look. Not to mention many of the characters are modeled after their voice actors.

I bought it not because I'm a collector (I've never "cared" about collectors editions but the artbook and the cloth map are kinda neat, even though they're back in the box and into the drawer already, LOL) but because I wanted to support Falcom/XSEED for finally bringing the games…

Ys Seven is so awesome, I wouldn't care if it was the only game ever released for the PSP.

If that engine isn't just a prerendered picture and changes for every car then color me impressed.

They have this done already, they should turn this into a series.

I don't think HAWX really posed a threat to the Ace Combat series, that game was quite bland gameplay-wise and the story lacked the overdramatic tone and sci-fi-ness that make AC special in my book.

Ys Seven is the only game that is going to finally plug me out of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (which in turn made me stop playing Starcraft 2), except for when I'm invited to multiplayer. I'll be playing some Phantasy Star Portable 2 demo also.
