@MrGOH: I was strictly speaking about graphics, I get every multiplatform game I can on PC because it can do 1080p at 60 frames per second.
I really wanted to play the first Dragon Age on PC but after getting a new TV and connecting my PC to it I could never go back to playing sitting in front of my monitor.
@란: Download? as in, torrent and burn the iso?
@Slagathorian: Stand tall and shake the heavens...: Off the top of my head:
@Mokon: I don't know, I'm really pumped for this, we still play NBA Hangtime when friends come over, it's so fun in a "3-profanities-every-second" way.
@DoktorFunkenstein: Killswitch Engage had "My Curse" in Burnout Dominator. Now KSE is my full custom soundtrack while I play Burnout Revenge.
So how's that Strider 3 game with HD sprites over polygonal backgrounds with a metroidvania-style gameplay coming along?
@Tulriss: This will sound blasphemous: Apart from Final Fantasy I, FFXIII is the only other one I've ever finished, I gave up on all the other ones halfway through out of lazyness, and while games like IV, VI and VII have acclaimed music, aside from Terra's theme I think I don't remember any of it.
Call me crazy but, I think I finally found what makes me like... no, love certain games a lot more than others: Music. It doesn't matter if the game is good or below-average, if the music is good, I keep going back to that game a lot.
@hbkotaku: Summers were always that hot in my city, the air conditioner we had wasn't enough to keep my room cool.
@twinturbo2: I said that back in January, unfortunately I haven't been able to get back into the game.
@Methossa: Wasn't it because it was too soon after 9/11?
@Cloroxbb: I hated MPT at first too, then I borrowed the Gamecube version of MP1 and after a few minutes I couldn't stand the lack of dual-analog controls and having to constantly hold R-Trigger to stand still and look around, (and I played those games a lot on Gamecube years ago!) so I went back to MPT and…
@Jer1ch0: Ys Seven is out next month also. I became a fan thanks to the PSP Napishtim even though it's not the best version. (Man I wish they released all of the PC Ys games on XBLA/PSN, or a compilation disc for either console)
What I think characterizes american games is that they try to make the controls "transparent" to the player, which sometimes can be good for immersion, but at the cost of uniqueness.
@gurfinki: You're right. As a kid I wanted challenge, as an adult I want an adventure, a journey.
"The challenge will always be there"
@Godpyre: Pretty much this. I can't believe how many times I replay this game every year and it never gets old, sometimes I still find new stuff I haven't seen before!
It's nearly nine thousaaaaaaaaaaaand!
