Great. Double post. Sorry about that.

If they pull it off this is a good thing, Twilight Princess was fantastic but I was baffled it still used the N64's by then archaic control scheme, lock-on and all.

Everytime the words Bionic Commando and Failure are mentioned in the same sentence I die a little inside...

I think the media has had a lot to do in this current "japan games are bad" mentality of the gaming population. If everything you hear and read around is this for the last couple of years, of course you'll start to think like that too.

I think Contra III: The Alien Wars is a lot harder than the first Contra, which can be consistently beat on one life.

I don't know how things work now that PSP games are sold via PSN (the last game I bought for my PSP was Dracula X Chronicles and there was no PSP game store back then).

@orionpk: I for sure can't, If I want maximum detail at a half-decent 30-40ish framerate which dips below 30 when it gets too heavy, I have to turn off antialiasing and run at 720p. And this is running on a C2D @3400ghz and a GTX285.

@ghost4: Couldn't have said it better. We need a name change for the genre, maybe it'll even split into many different genres. What could we call them?

@Bloodoflamb: That's my point, there is just no videogame that has that level of interaction, perhaps the closest was Molyneux's vision of the first Fable, which failed to deliever by like 99.99%.

@FranUnFine: I have plenty of friends who think Mass Effect 2 is a Gears of War rip-off. I actually have a hard time explaining them it is an RPG.

@Thut: whoever says it's 80 hours is lying. I finished the game in barely over 40 hours, and that was without rushing through it.

"Roleplaying is the act of deliberately taking on a particular persona and interacting with the world based on that persona."

@brida: I can't reccomend Aquaria enough. It's an underwater Metroid with incredible music and overall the game is surreal, one of those worlds you wish existed.

@Sam-urai: But that's for the PC version of the game and he said he's a 360 owner. :P

@Ursus-Veritas: Lower the volume and play with the lights on then.

@her0_0f_time: Awesome, Can't wait for LINE and TYRE.

@VincentGrey: To me what makes the metroid series great it's the eerie atmosphere and that exploration is much more complex than in Castlevanias. Especially in the earlier games, you could be stuck in the same spot for days because you didn't bomb a certain spot. Castlevania is just much more ovbious.

PURE, FUEL, DiRT, GRID, and now blur. What's up with racing games' 4-letter names nowadays?

Can't say I'm psyched, but I'm intrigued, I'll give it a rent.
