I remember playing a pretty enjoyable Ghostbusters arcade game in the late 80s as well, although I don’t know if they ever ported it adequately to any home consoles.

Going by my experiences with the first game, Dragon’s Dogma respects a player’s time more than a lot of modern RPGs. It accomplishes this by simply allowing you to spend most of your time on the game actually playing the game. The travel, exploration, and dungeon crawling IS the game. It’s not unlike, say, Skyrim in

I was looking for this in the article and then looking for this in the comments. You win at gaming History. I guess P.N. 03 was a bit of an obscure game as it did not find commercial success, but it is also a game by a well known game designer, Shinji Mikami.

In a way, it may be a symptom of the difference between

P.N.03 was an amazing and underrated game. Thank you for reminding me of it.

It’s not technically false though, it is the same universe as BG3.

I’ll bet it does.

Looking forward to the Cosplay.

I feel like with this and Larian Studios receiving toxicity, it’s almost as if this doesn’t really happen because of “bad games,” but because gamers are entitled Karens who don’t recognize the human cost of the games they played.

As far as I’m concerned, all developer interactions with gamers should just be a double mid

Or we can construct criticism in a calm, diplomatic way instead of constantly trying to hurt or one up each other. The devs seems committed to making the game the best user experience possible and sometimes they make a mistake. Breath and explain why you don’t like something without berating them.

100% agree. The way Gamers give, uh, “feedback” can read a little hostile sometimes and I can see how a human dev on the receiving end of it might react in a human way. Not to say it’s okay, but I’m inclined to forgive a one-time incident. The community reaction to that patch has been completely insane and out of

I dig Neesson and Shafer and I miss naked gun style so much I’m actually becoming nostalgic for Scary Movie God help me, so I’m down for this

Smart. Very smart. AAA publishers are only going to get worse, so it’s important to keep your franchises/IPs and cut loose in this day and age. It’s going to be tough without the rich sociopaths’ money, but in this industry the AAA model is just not sustainable with little to gain as a dev.

Yep. I basically have about five current-gen games (plus a few indie and PS+ retro games) saved to the system at any time and the rest are cycled to my external drive for storage, which is an annoyance.

Skies of Arcadia 2

Agreed! This seems like a good place for it to show up, too!

I hope we get a release date for Fantasy Life i. The first Fantasy Life on 3DS was amazing, and I can't wait for the sequel.

Quistis did it for me but that White Mage from FF1! What a body!

Out of context, the above interaction could be read as Johnson simply not understanding meme culture, which is totally fair.

What kind of human garbage”

Let’s not lose perspective, we’re talking about luxury entertainment here. Piracy isn’t your only option, your main option is to just not play the game if you don’t like its price or monetisation. I’m saying this both as a former game developer and as someone who pirated a lot in my past: you’re not entitled to take
