100%. Unreasonable laws deserve no respect.

I count brakes in to #1. Controlling the load doesn’t just mean side to side. If you can’t stop the load you’re definitely not in control of it.

I’m certainly not recommending that people exceed their weight ratings, just listing off the various physical limits that are above the legal limit. Obviously a statement like “as long as you don’t need to make emergency maneuvers” has the unspoken meaning that if you do it’s not going to end well.

A 2003 Fleetwood Discovery 38T. 38 feet long, 242" wheelbase, 22 thousand pounds dry. 7.2L Cat in the back, air brakes, air suspension, air seat, and towing a Jeep Liberty behind it.

As I see it there are four actual physical limits:

I took a look through the owner’s manual and all of your questions are answered there.  Pages 6.38 and 7.6 are the most relevant.

Can we just drop this whole idea that it matters? Gamers are a large enough group of people these days that it doesn’t matter what’s happening, you can easily find a sizeable group that’s upset about something.

This is why you should listen closely if you ever hear a lawyer say something along the lines of “my client has asked me to say”.

I don’t just let people drive my cars, I encourage it. Whenever I get something new (or more often new-to-me) the first few weeks of ownership are basically just me driving it around to my other “car guy” friends and throwing the keys at them.

My first thought as well, considering how many people I see driving down the highway in doorless Wranglers with a leg hanging out the side.

Damn, what a loss. I’ve been watching her since the beginning of Xtreme 4x4 and she always went so far past the line of “certified badass” that you couldn’t even see it on the horizon. Great build skills, great driving skills, and a constant desire to push further.

Ok, well in that case the owners just being idiots and deserve the fires they cause.  Your original post implied there was some fault of the cars and that they could over-draw even when corrected entirely correctly.

If it pulls over 15 amps but still has a 15 amp plug I’d consider that to be a faulty design.

I’m not surprised by this at all.

Interesting that it pulls over 15 amps by default. Every RV my family’s had with a power controller has assumed it’s on a 15 amp circult when powered up at 120 volts and had to be manually set in to 20 amp mode. I would have assumed a modern (PH)EV would do the same.

A lot of the cars have adjustable or configurable shocks, but I agree the defaults are often as wallowy as an ‘80s Cadillac that’s never had the shocks replaced.

Yes please. Basically Forza Horizon in the city. Hell, I’d like to see a return of all of the Madness series. Monster Truck Madness was my first experience with modding games, and anyone who hasn’t tried to ride the edge of the level boundaries in Motocross Madness is missing out.

In basically the same way that electric cars make sense. For a commuter, they’re perfect. For long trips they’re crap. For a weekend toy, it depends on what you like to do. If your random fun rides tend to go longer than 70 miles this bike is probably not for you.
