@James: I also dislike streaming!
@James: I also dislike streaming!
@SEDAGIVE?!: Agreed. In fact, I have numerous Airport Express boxes streaming my iTunes around the house. $40 on eBay. $69 refurb from Apple Store.
@TheStyle: "I have gone through and digitized 100 older DVDs that I have imported into iTunes"
@James: Hard disk isn't included for a reason other than price. Apple's new business model for video is rent-only. They don't want the video sitting in your device to be viewed whenever you want.
@freetrademan: Actually, it's not the only iTunes streaming device. In fact, it's not even the only Apple device.
If I went through one of these scanners today, the security people would point a lot of guns at me and give me a very close inspection - if they didn't shoot me in the head immediately.
@Seventhexile Speaks: Indeed. Last week we went to the Los Angeles County Fair and they had an area where you could pay to do this.
@JustinPM: Ah! So you are suggesting that ubiquitous tunes = distraction = catastrophe.
@JustinPM: I'm only touching the wireless/remote in those places. And it safely runs on batteries.
@seanmcr6: So, create your own little WiFi network. Since you are a Mac user, get an AirPort Express. $69 refurb from the Apple store, with full warranty.
@JustinPM: From the garage, from the garden, mowing the lawn, in the jacuzzi...
@Jestermeister: Apple's Airport Express retails for $99. Refurbs are available at the Apple Store with full warranty for $69. I have gotten several on e-bay for $40.
@KillerBee: Yeah. I'm just not sure what he was trying to say. Seemed a little ambiguous.
@Bos'un's Mate: Those are good examples, and they show how 3D can provide an extra degree of realism.
@dtptampa: I agree that shooting in 3D is the way to go. Post-production 3D is weak or outright bad.
@Leathersoup: Reference, please. That's interesting news.
@Everybody: He didn't say that he had not programmed the thermostat, just that he hasn't touched it except for maintenance.
@worldwidejoe: Although not IP, you can get outlets with built-in X10 receivers. They have unit number and house code dials on them.
@Panhandler: Yes, I remember DAK. I still have one of their bread makers.
@FThorn: Me, too. I have the ultrasonic wand and base station, plus tons of more recent X10 equipment. And I remember JS&A fondly.
