@Traveshamockery: You are correct in the additional cost of doing business beyond the bill of materials.

@wagedomain: I do have a kid, but she is old enough to vote, so not part of the problem you describe.

@Traveshamockery: With the notable exception of Sony, those who build the TVs are not content makers. To continue your analogy, should the Corvette makers build a refinery, buy a fleet of tanker trucks, and open gas stations?

@CuriousYellow: "Trinkhaus is very well-regarded as a Neanderthal expert."

@TailsNZ: Why not? It worked for hamsters!

@Traveshamockery: I agree that MG)_Count is mostly clueless, but he does have one point...

@SSgtTEX: Unfortunately, a lot of people are ill-informed about 3D TV. They don't know how the glasses work and want to use ones from the theater. They complain that the TVs are expensive, while actually 3D adds little to the price. And many think that a 3D set is stuck in 3D mode.

@EvanSei (lord of the gerbils): The reason that 3D TV has never really caught on is because every version has had significant problems. E.g. anaglyph is simple and cheap, but screws up the colors.

@KenJr: Agreed on all points. I got a good deal with Blu Ray, TV, and 2 pair glasses at a nice price. The Samsung glasses fit fine over regular glasses.

@wagedomain: That's a problem only for the stupid. I only have two pair of 3D glasses, but I keep them inside the cabinet that contains the Blu Ray player. Unlike a remote that pretty much has to stay out 24x7, the glasses are specialized. They get pulled out, used, and put back.

@Traveshamockery: I don't think that the tech was rushed. I have a Samsung 50" plasma and the 3D is great.

@cicadymn: I like your philosophy!

@EthanPeter: Yes. Probably because your last name is "Peter".

@Cole Eutzy: It's a decent trick, but needs work. If I work for Giz and get your password in the clear, it is obvious that you are adding the site name. Somebody will try it on gmail.

@bsegovia: "so far killed four people, injured 52 more"

@alienshards: Did you also notice that every key, including the red one, is based on the same image? I was looking at the reflected highlights from the texture...

@TheProject: Although tempted to return fire with one of my Mini 14 rifles, I would probably just call the police. A little time in jail would do them good.
