@HTownTime: Don't forget the potential for unauthorized abuse of surveillance systems. Every barrel has a few bad apples.

@Dunny0: The difference is that they are screwing around with your physical property - attaching a tracking gadget to your car is arguably either vandalism or trespassing, and in no way like simply watching you.

@Charliehorse: I can understand the argument that movements of a vehicle are public knowledge, but there are many possible ways to collect that information, some more intrusive than others.

@Charliehorse: Dynamite is indeed stabilized nitroglycerine.

@PopandLocke: X-rays might be justified in the list. Roentgen was experimenting with cathode rays and I'm sure that he was very carefully observing his equipment. But activation of the coated cardboard across the room might qualify as a lucky find.

@CaptainJack: I suppose that the leg weapon adds some stability when you sit down. But it would be slower to deploy and less accurate to aim than an arm-mounted weapon.

@Disabled_Vette: So, because you live a simple/legal life, you are unable to imagine how surveillance systems might be abused resulting in trouble for you or a loved one?

This article is heavy on jammers, which are likely illegal. It gives only passing reference to detectors, which are much more likely to be legal.

@Disabled_Vette: Unfortunately, the definition of what is wrong can change with little notice. But that's not the really bad part.

@EthanPeter: Then you can trade them in for a crappy new pair of V-Moda.

@ddhboy: And netflix has Big Bang Theory! Such an incredible show that only a pathetic lamer would dislike it!

@whereisscott: Not sure you're making it any better, dude!

@typica1cat: Turn up the power - the fish is still swimming right-side up!

@Michael: Really? Where's your sense of adventure?!

@JohnnyZito: Sorry, but I disagree. Origin stories get told and retold, with tweaks to bring them up to date.
