My wife is right there with you. She is 34 weeks pregnant with our daughter and was sobbing during that scene.
I agree with all of the above. To me that ended tainted the entire series. I never wanted the Ted and Robin thing to happen, I was excited by his chemstry with the mother and wanted that to be how it ended. So killing her off-camera as a rushed end to the show made the entire series pointless for me.
I don't know - we shall have to see how it does after Paul Walker is gone from the series. I think the next one will do really well because people will want to see him in his last Fast and Furious appearance. But then after that I am unsure if 1) the other actors will want to do it and 2) if the audience will enjoy…
You could also do tv shows or movies about the other groups he interacts with - Michael and the other knights, the college werewolves, etc. The show failed for many reasons - I am sure someone else can enumerate them all but I felt it was in trouble from the beginning.
Yeah, I've been making the same point. Sony is going to eventually introduce The Vulture and expect people to want to see more of an old man in a green suit with wings?
So why isn't Universal pursuing another comic book company - Dark Horse, Image, Dynamite, etc? Those aren't owned by DC and Marvel, right? I know they aren't as hugely successful as the big two, but neither are monster movies these days - just look at I, Frankenstein (or not).
So you think Smallville was a better show than Arrow? And that it didn't have acting/writing that was equally as bad or worse?
As long as the movies make money there will be more movies. There is no debate to that. If the studio can get A-list actors to replace their A-list actors they will do that before they will replace them with b-list/unknown actors. I don't see them recasting a character (which is risky) with someone who they would be…
As I said yesterday - either we need to embrace the recasting process or we will be force fed reboots again and again. RDJ will only be Iron Man for the Avengers movies (until Avengers 3) and then he is out - so do you want Tony Stark killed off and Rhodes to become Iron Man or do you want Tony Stark to still exist in…
THIS! So Freaking This! Man I love Fraction's Hawkeye run, just can't get enough of Hawkeye as an everyday schlub. If they make a Hawkeye movie I really hope it is based on this run of the comic.
So he should play Cap forever then? I understand, as a fan, wanting to have continuity; but you don't really think that an actor should have to play the same role for the rest of his life just to please us, right?
Well, hopefully Hawkeye becomes more like he was/is in the comics because right now he doesn't impress. I know a lot of that is the writing but the delivery of his lines was so bland that any actor could have played the role. Hawkeye wasn't really necessary (in that any shield agent could have been turned and done…
Agreed, I can't believe Thea has gone from petulant little brat to the most "together" person in the show. She has no secrets, she runs a successful business, she is there for her family (if they would ever let her in), and she wants to be in a stable relationship - no drinking, no drugs, no excessive partying (or any…
Nothing genre related - wasn't sure if it had to be? Anyway, I am reading the biography of Edna St Vincent Millay by Nancy Milford, "Savage Beauty". It is really interesting, I've always loved Vincent's poetry but I've not always been a fan of biographies, sometimes they are too dense with dates and not really about…
I don't care what Ultron looks like... As long as Avengers 2 is a good, fun movie Ultron doesn't have to look exactly like he did in at any point in the comics.
Cuz this is what the world has been asking for in movies... You know, the opposite of quality.
To me it is more likely that Sony and Fox will beat the genre to death (and they are already talking about expanding their offerings - spidey is rumored to be getting spin-offs - not sure how a villain centric movie will sell to the public). They only have a small selection of characters to choose from, sure Marvel…
I don't see it that way at all... I think he is saying that if they develop enough properties and they keep developing them they are going to either have to keep pushing movies back so as to keep a two movie/year commitment or have more than two a year. If in Avengers 2 they introduce Vision (confirmed), Scarlet Witch…
So true! It feels like something new and big every day! Per the below Variety article from February Bettany is playing Vision in Age of Ultron.
