I am loving this feature, as I did “The History of Violence”, and now I have learned that Tom is 7 feet tall. This changes everything.

That is great. I don’t think anyone actually left my screening of Darkman, they just sat there and were traumatized, and later on my dad gave me hell.

I was so keen to see this movie when it came out (I was 12) that I convinced my church youth group to see it on a movie outing. No one had heard of it, so I told everyone that it was a superhero movie and it might have “a few violent scenes”. Somehow they agreed and it went over...poorly.

My suggestion was going to be: “The Road” hair and make-up tests for cannibal gang members.
