No, I’m not competing with Hellcats obviously. A Tesla however, will. Still the Bolt is a hot hatch of an EV and pulls hard to highway speeds in sport mode. My two day old to us 2022 Ioniq 5 AWD Limited is faster, but it’s also AWD and more than double the price new.

That isn’t how Ford is handling their EVs. They are by order only. If there is one on the lot, it is because orders were cancelled. Ford chose this route due to dealerships proving that they cannot behave ethically with new, limited high demand products. In addition top this, they’re still working through a lengthy

Probably availability.  Mach Es are not readily available nor are being manufactured in numbers currently to be able to complete fleet allocations.

LOL  I own a Chevy Bolt.  Don’t think that because it looks like a small slow egg, that it is.  I’ve managed to surprise many a knuckle dragger thinking they can abuse and force me to do their bidding.

With the expansion of the EV market as well as the DCFC infrastructure, higher capacity batteries will need some form of preconditioning to speed up the charging experience. Thing is, what GM is pulling, is not going to fool anyone. It’s just as easy for them to pull the charging stops off of the AA and CP apps to do

YOu don’t want to forget that as technology updates, you’ll be forced to buy their new module to keep it working. Our 2012 LEAF was given one such update, and now even that module is obsolete. We elected to not upgrade it as we’re going to sell the car.

Their response is 100% pure bullshit. Android Auto and Apple Car Play are as close as one can get to having an industry wide standard that looks and behaves virtually the same in every single car it’s used in. Reality is GM can’t force people to fork out a couple of hundred dollars every couple of years to update

No, it’s unacceptable.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 outperforms this albatross in every metric. It’s a similar price for the limited model, has AWD, a 256 mile range in AWD guise, all the desired modern safety and driver assist gear, better performance, is the standard bearer for charging times at current, and all of the car critics sing it’s

The U.S. Road trip is far from dead. Our “hopelessly slow DC charging rate” by critics standards Chevy Bolt has been more than up to the task for cross country trips. You just have to plan a little more. I agree that infrastructure needs to be improved and yesterday. It IS expanding daily. It’s the reliability that’s

Even with the Nissan LEAFs flawed passively air cooled battery, batteries have not been dying en mass every 5 years. Even our 11 year old LEAF with said flawed passively air cooled battery is still on the same unit it was built with, albeit at about 70% of it’s original capacity. The car will still run right at 50

Sure.  Our fleet of 11 vehicles includes 2 EVs, 3 motorcycles, and 6 ICE vehicles.

Right, it’s a Mustang MACH-E. I’d take one over a plain old Mustang driven by the knuckle dragging neanderthal crowd any day of the week.

EVs turn more than 90% of their power into moving the vehicle down the road.  Even the Hummer EV gets an MPGe that makes a Prius look like a gas guzzler.  ICE engines just can’t match the efficiency of an electric motor.

You haven’t recognized 40 years of the de-evolution of the human species.  I’ve seen plenty of them bitch about the price of gas, only to immediately run 90 mph down the highway, while complaining that their car isn’t getting anything near the EPA rating.  Mention slowing down, and they look at you like you’re insane.

Rest assured that the same anti ev buyer will gladly move that bar to 30,000 miles per charge and one second recharge rate in their undying efforts to keep their idiotic argument alive.

The Bolt will not be sold beyond the next couple of years.  They are not going to update it and are going to let the Equinox fill that slot at the 30k price point.  The Bolt is “old tech” now.  Everyone throws a tantrum over it’s 55kw peak charge rate.

My 2015 Colorado is the size of a 1990's full size truck. I don’t want anything bigger. I actually “downsized” from a half ton RAM truck to buy it. I hate having to crawl into a new super sized truck.

Because at the end of the day, they don’t want any of the issues fixed either. If either side actually does something beyond padding the wallets of their campaign donors, they won’t have anything to con people into voting for them on the next election.

Our CDL rules only apply to commercial vehicles. I can literally go buy a class 8 truck, slap “not for hire” on it, and drive it wherever I want. This is why you see 80 year old people driving 40 foot motorhomes.
