Their original message basically said:

I have seen old people make their Miis old. Little kids who have made their Miis kids.

To be clear, marriage is a right. Some rights are rights that you are born with and are not written down (such as the right to privacy).

Japan is a very conservative nation. Things that go outside the social norm aren't tolerated very well. Homosexuality is one of those things. Video games, manga, and anime are not a very good representation of Japanese LGBT views. People are much more comfortable with looking at a drawing than seeing something in

Kinda.

The tagline for the game is "Your Friends. Your Drama. Your Life". It should come as no surprise that some people want to play as themselves.

The LGBT scene in Japan is not exactly...positive. There is a national ban on same-sex marriage and LGBT people have no legal protections whatsoever when it comes to discrimination.

I can't speak for everybody, but the wording in the petition didn't seem negative, as if they thought Nintendo was overlooking LGBT people on purpose. It was a request, nothing more.

"Tons of scenarios"? Are LGBT people somehow...different from straight people? We don't need extra scenarios. As I mentioned in a previous article, since this game is about having various relationships, you can have same-sex best friends. So what is the problem with taking it that one extra step further?

Being vocal is the only way people will listen to us.

Manaphy is definitely a legendary. Everyone agrees on that one. The issue is Phione, since he can only be obtained via breeding and can continue to breed thereafter.

This is better?

I'm an original Pokemon fan. I played Pokemon Red, saw the first movie in theaters (still have the promo card) and even collected the Burger King Pokemon toys. I still have a Dragonite keychain...that I got in a kid's meal....when I was freaking 9.

Well...yeah. That whole twitterpated thing...remember? With Faline?

The problem with Nintendo's response, as explained before, is that it is completely tone deaf in relation to the petition. The petition called for Nintendo to either change the game in an update or that they at least acknowledge the disparity in the game .

The Heart of Darkrai

That I would care. Or that I, or anyone else, can't have a negative opinion on something. Or not that not stating that negative opinion is going to affect anything.

Err..."want"? That makes no fucking sense. If I made a game with gay marriage in it, I wouldn't care if people complained or not. People could complain; people would complain. I wouldn't necessarily want people complaining (who does?), but I wouldn't stop them because I wouldn't care. Me making the game would be proof

I am talking about two consenting adults. As long as two straight people are able to any sexually deviant thing under the sun with each other, what does it matter if I want to get married to a woman?

Tales of Xillia 1? Man, when I got the CE last year, I was still playing Tales of Graces f. I am so backlogged on games, I haven't even opened the Tales of Xillia box. :P
