Correct on the multiple championships; wrong on the age divisions. There are 3 age divisions: Juniors (10 and under), Seniors (11-14), and Masters (15+). A player is separated into an age division at the start of the season and it is based on the year that they were born in, not their age. This prevents a player from

There’s no minimum age to compete and there’s no age limit. I’ve judged players as young as 6 to as old as 80. Players are separated into age divisions, though.

There are multiple Regionals per year per region. For example, for the 2019-2020 season, there are 15 Regionals between the United States and Canada. Europe has 5, Latin America has 3, and Oceania has 4. Going to multiple Regionals can be expensive, but there is nothing stopping a player from going to multiple events.

That Zapdos is definitely a Zapdos from the Evolutions set, NOT the Base Set (we didn’t have reverse holos back then). In fact, all of the cards in his binder look like they are from fairly recent sets, including a Kangaskhan from the Sun and Moon set.

Not sure how feasible this would be. This program would have to check the contents of the team lists to find a match. How would it know what to check? Am I going to have to manually enter this information in? Because at that point, I could just check it myself.

Technically, this is a change in penalties, not a change in rules. Accurately filling out a team list is an expectation placed upon all players due to the rules of the game; the penalty doesn’t matter.

I should clarify: when I say that it is a harsher penalty than before, I meant in comparison to two seasons ago. This penalty isn’t hyper new; it has been in place since at least last season and falls in line with the rules that TCG players follow for their decklists. Of course, this doesn’t change the circumstance

As a Pokemon judge for both the TCG and the VGC, all I can really do is shrug. The rules and penalties for both formats were published before their respective seasons started.

First, judges aren’t responsible for checking a player’s team list; that is the responsibility of the player. Second, at high-level tournaments, with HUNDREDS of players, there is no time to check and double-check every single player’s team list and team before the competition starts. Random checks are performed

Technically, this is classified as a Severe Game Play Error, not cheating; players are always given the benefit of the doubt. However, Masters division players are held to much high scrutiny than any other players, especially at a high-level tournament (this is the second-highest level of tournament play).

Entering a TPCi tournament comes with the assumption that players know what the rules are. Masters division players like Evans and Glick should know what the rules are better than anyone.

It is correct. People are just choosing to read the idiom as the actual word vs. actually examining the idiom and what it says.

Bisexuals possess an immense, incomprehensible power. The confusion that we cause allows us to silently siphon the life energy out of unsuspecting mortals.

The music of the Pokemon games is pretty iconic and is beloved by many Pokemon fans. There’s a freaking touring music concert that helps to prove this very notion (crazy, right?). I saw the very first show in Washington, D.C last year (during the Pokemon World Championships) and it was a sold out show. I had always

Err...well...Isayama does put out some rather bad art at times. He has the excuse of trying to pump out a lot of work in a month (hell in a WEEK!) and I can understand that.

Japan is the wrong culture to use here. In a country where 99% of the country has the same culture, language, and ethnicity, making things that DO NOT look just like them is more or less the point. This is seen frequently amongst the younger crowd where anything that sets you apart is bought by the ton (wacky socks,

That historical accuracy excuse has never worked for me and, ironically, it is because of what Ubisoft puts in their games.

Why? I think it is because Assassin’s Creed is an 8 year old that has had this many female assassins: one. Just one. In a side game.

You can make a videogame where a protagonist is a blank slate; that doesn’t mean that every game has a “blank slate” character.

Destiny: a game that gives you the same emotional strain as ordering a Quarter Pounder with no mustard, but the cook makes it wrong, so you order it again, and they give you an apple pie as an apology, but the apple pie is burnt and the new sandwich STILL has mustard on it.
